My k1 visa status changed from refused to Application Recieved ? (Multiple merged threads)

Hi so my k1 visa status has been changed from refused to Application recieved what does this mean?

 When did you send it to the USCIS?  Received seems better than refused anyway.

Have you had an interview yet?

 

If not it could be as simple as they didn't get the entire petition from the NVC. So it was marked as refused until they got whatever it is they were missing.

 

If you did already have your interview, was something missing at the time? Like they didn't have your medical forms yet or were missing a document from you? They will mark it as refused until they get those things

 

You could always submit an inquiry to your embassy to check the status with them.

So yes my fiancé had an interview and it went well but they wants the approval notice and we just sent it and it changed from refused to application received .

Then that is exactly what was supposed to happen

Give it another day or two and it should update again

But they should be processing the visa and will more than likely mail her passport out soon, if she did in fact get told her visa was approved at the interview?

 

If nothing changes after 7 business days, you could try submitting an inquiry to the embassy

Yea they told her they just need to send the paper to the embassy and everything will be good . Yea and under the status it says wait for 2 business days for an update

Then you have nothing to worry about.

Sounds like it's just going through the motions

I know a lot of people don't like that it says "refused" when it actually hasn't been lol

We just had our interview and we were told we were approved. Our case says application received, but they did say it should take about a week to get the visa, and a few days for the status to change over.
