Appointments grayed out when trying to schedule interview?

Hello! My fiance and I received our welcome letter from the NVC and completed the DS160. He paid the fee and when he went to the schedule to select a date (for the London Embassy), the only options were June 13th, 14th, and 15th, which won't work as his medical isn't scheduled until June 20th. Everything else is totally grayed out. From what I found, I believe the NVC only posts interview dates a month at a time, and I wanted to see if this was normal to see all but a few grayed out like this.

He thinks that the Embassy will be scheduling the interview for us, but I thought we'd need to schedule it ourselves. I wasn't sure what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated!

As well, I don't think we need the Affidavit of Support at this time, I think that will be when he comes to the US, but I wanted to triple check to be sure I've got everything lined up, so if anyone knows about this I'd love the insight!

When I scheduled my appointment in London for my CR1/IR1, I found that the embassy releases appointments frequently and usually for the following . I believe they do the same for K1, but I'm not entirely sure.

Could you call the visa medical office and ask if they can move your medical exam if there are any cancellations? I also believe you can attend your interview before the medical exam, but it's better to call visa medical and/or email the embassy to confirm. If they confirm that you can do that, expect your CEAC status to be "refused" until they get your medical exam and start working on your visa.

The London consulate says medical should be 5 business days before the interview.  It also says to reschedule the interview if you cannot complete the medical accordingly.  Having said that, if you choose to attend the interview before the medical, the consulate officer can just conduct the interview, then place your case in administrative processing status until the medical exam has been reviewed later.  Good luck.

About the Medical Examination for an fiancee immigrant visa. (usembassy.gov)

"All applicants, regardless of age, are required to complete a medical examination performed by an Embassy approved physician prior to their visa interview.  We cannot accept medicals performed by any other physician.

When scheduling the appointment, please note that it takes a minimum of 5 work days for the results of the medical examination to be couriered to the Embassy.

If you find that you are unable to attend a medical examination prior to your visa interview, you should reschedule your visa interview for at least 5 working days after your medical appointment. Please schedule the earliest available medical examination."

You're right. I guess I misunderstood what I read somewhere else or maybe it depends on the embassy?

@Crazy Cat can you please remove that part from my previous reply? I can't edit my reply and I don't want to confuse anyone in the future. Thanks!

Yes.  There are a lot of things that now seem to be consulate specific. It's difficult to remember what individual consulate processes are. Everything from scheduling interviews to medicals, to pickup and delivery processes can vary.  I was simply copying from what should be the official source. LOL.
