Hello all, Im going the CR-1 route as petitioner and have a criminal record from 15 years ago, it may or may not trigger an RFE as i have assault, shoplifting, and domestic violence all as misdemeanors. I have already contacted the courthouse where all of my charges were heard and they say that they do not keep records past 8 years, I have also contacted the clerk and they stated that records are not kept after 12 years. My question is, where the heck do I even look for my records if no one has them. If im hit with an RFE i may have to fly to california from indiana depending on where i need to go.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Note: all of my charges were expunged under 1203.4, dont know if it is realivant

The US citizen's criminal record has no bearing unless there's a sex crime against a child.  None of this is even asked about in a spouse case.  It's asked about in a fiancé visa case, but that's only to assure the foreign fiancé is fully informed about it.
