Hello Good people,

I am currently processing my IVP from Canada, Montreal and my DQ was May 30, 2023.  I am planning to move to the US on an H1B visa for a faculty position. I need some information regarding medical and PCC

1. If I will get IL near future then I need to do medical, my query is, can I do medical from the US or I need to do it from Canada only?

2. How long does the police clearance remain valid? is it 2 years or 1 year?  if it is expired then should we bring a new PCC on the day of the interview?

Thank you so much

1. If I will get IL near future then I need to do medical, my query is, can I do medical from the US or I need to do it from Canada only? Canada only from an approved civil surgeon.  The offices for the approved surgeons are in BC, ON and QC.  With this in mind, you can look at the vaccination requirements now and ensure you have everything up to date that is required prior to the medical.  If you don't have a vaccination record, have a titres test done and work on backfilling anything missing.

2. How long does the police clearance remain valid? is it 2 years or 1 year?  if it is expired then should we bring a new PCC on the day of the interview? It's looking like 12mo and yes, bring a new one.
