Looking through the process to go from driving here for a year on your original home country license to a US license just seems so crazy. Do we really have to get a physical, an eye test, a learners permit etc? Has anyone done this recently? Was this your experience too or am I being fed wrong information?
Thanks!

yes,

https://global.psu.edu/article/how-internationals-can-get-pennsylvania-drivers-license

Pa allows u to drive a year (in PA only ) on foreign license

DO NOT drive out of the state with foreign license as it my not be legal in another state

I say this as if u r in Pittsburgh as indicated,  u r close to Ohio and Maryland and it easy to take a day trip to see other sites

Get that SS card / upon arrival that's the 1st thing to do
