Hi,

I just got approved for I-129F.  I have question on income.  My currently salary already excess 3 people  based on I-864P, 2024 HHS Poverty Guidelines for Affidavit of Support.

1) Do I need to provide other assets like money in bank etc or just my current salary and employment status from HR is fine?

2) Is Tax transcription and W2 good enough or I need to provide signed 1040 form?

Thank you

1) If current salary meets requirements, no need to list any assets.

2) Tax transcripts by themselves are enough as they already contain all the W2 information.  If you do not have tax transcripts from the IRS, you can provide copies of your tax return along with the W2.  Don't mix and match.

Good Luck!

I have another question.  My fiancee has a 5yrs old daughter, do I need to file a separate I-134 for her too?

Is I-134 and supporting documents submitted online for NVC to review?  I review the K1 guide in VJ but it didn't say unless I overlooked.

Can she start doing criminal record now since it took almost month to get it?

yes you need to fill out an I-134 for the daughter. you need an I-134 for each immigrant you plan on sponsoring.

the I-134 is not submitted online, it is brought to the visa interview by the foreign fiance. NVC doesn't review the I-134, the officer at the embassy/consulate will review it as part of the evidence brought to the interview

it depends on the country, so she may need to check how long the police certificate is valid for before requesting it.

but it can be gotten whenever, as long as it is still valid when the interview comes around.

i couldn't find anything concrete, but its either 3 months or 6 months in Cambodia. she can probably get more definite information from wherever she requests it from.

What is the purpose of NVC? Are there job only to mail documents to beneficiary country and just one online form ds-160?

the NVC pretty much does all the processing for embassies.

"NVC serves a clerical function in processing immigrant visa applications. NVC's job is to prepare immigrant visa applications for consular officers to review and adjudicate"

They dont approve or deny petitions, just get them sent off.

the DS-160 goes straight to the embassy, it doesnt pass through the NVC at all.

Also just odd that the officer at the embassy/consulate will review I-134 because from what I heard when people went for interview, they hardly asked for any documents that the beneficiary brought with them.  How they know if income meet the requirement? just curious.

it varies between embassies. Some officers ask for it, some dont.

some just want to see the form but don't bother with the evidence.

some want to see as much evidence as possible. pretty much is up to office discretion from what i understand.

but the embassy is the one that has final decision in approving or denying visas. that's why they are the ones that review the I-134.

also the I-134 isn't the most important form for them. that may be why they don't always check it.

the I-864 is the more important one and more scrutinized. that one is done during AOS after the beneficiary is in the states and you've gotten married

I received hardcopy NOA2 today, but I don't see my fiancée daughter name (5yrs old) on it.  I did put daughter name on I-129F when filing.  Do I need to do something, or this is when NVC add her in as K2?  What about the A# for the daughter because on I-130 it asks A#. Thank you
