Hunter Biden’s trial on federal gun charges

Approximately 250 Delaware residents have been summoned for jury service, according to the judge. They’ll be whittled down to a panel of 12 seated jurors and four alternates.   

Delaware is one of the smallest states in the country, and the Biden family looms large. 

As part of the selection process – called voir dire – prospective jurors will be asked if they can stay impartial regardless of their views about the 2024 election.

They’ll also be asked if they can keep an open mind about Hunter Biden, even if they’ve been eligible to vote in past elections for Joe Biden, who has held public office in Delaware since 1971. 

Other questions touch on the highly politicized atmosphere surrounding the case, including, “Do you believe Hunter Biden is being prosecuted in this case because his father is the President of the United States?” or, coming from the other side, whether they think he “is not being prosecuted for other crimes because his father is the President?”

Joe and Jill Biden Send a Message to Hunter's Jury

 

[...] Here's the thing - Hunter's parents are trying to sway the jury.  Bold opinion? bI don't think so. bJoe Biden had a hush-hush meeting with Hunter's former girlfriend, the widow of his brother, Beau, last week.  Allegedly Demented Joe visited her because the anniversary of Beau's death was coming up.  That was the story when he was caught.  Never mind that the president has not visited her in previous years.  He just happened to when she is scheduled to be a witness in Hunter's trial.  She allegedly tossed his handgun in the trash behind a restaurant near a school.

 

Old Joe is said to be committed to speaking with Hunter each day, perhaps several times a day, as the trial goes forth.  First Lady Jill was in the courtroom on Monday.  So was his sister, Ashley.  Other family members were reported to be there, too.  [...]

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is convicted of all 3 felonies in federal gun trial


He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, though first-time offenders do not get anywhere near the maximum, and it’s unclear whether she would give him time behind bars. The judge did not set a sentencing date.

Colorado Supreme Court Overturns Hunter Biden Conviction

 

DENVER, CO — In a stunning ruling just before the end of the day that veered away from any legal precedent, the Colorado Supreme Court overturned the criminal conviction handed down to Hunter Biden just this morning.

My take? Joe expects he won’t be the Democrat candidate in November and is relying on his replacement to do the deed.
