Domicile during the Montreal Interview Stage IR1

I have a unique situation with my IR1 application. I’m a USC petitioner. When we filled out I130, I was living and working in the US but when I filled out the I864 for my wife (beneficiary) I was staying and working in Canada with my wife. My wife got DQ’ed in April and now she is waiting to get the interview date, while I have again moved back to the US permanently. Will this come up as an issue during her interview in Montreal?

I'm sure they will want to know where you live.  Since you live and work in the USA, I see no "issue" of concern.  Clearly, you were then and are now domiciled in the USA.  You'll probably want to update your I-864.

thanks @pushbrk. Can I also sponsor my wife as a grad student? I've gotten full tuition scholarship and stipend (that is above the poverty threshold) and will be a grad student starting from August and also during her interview. Do I need to upload additional documents on the NVC website?

You need an updated I-864, but upload after you know the interview date.

@pushbrk In I-864 EZ form, there is no option for unemployed, only employed or retired. However, on I-864, there seems to be an option for unemployed. Which form needs to be used to provide updated financial situation? thanks!

Unless you meet the three conditions mentioned at the top of the EZ version, you must use the I-864 instead.  That's the difference.

@pushbrk @powpow13  @Dashinka   where do I put the annual stipend amount on I864 form? do I check the box for employed, self-employed, or unemployed? and then do I put the stipend amount under 'individual annual income'?

Yes, the stipend amount goes under your current annual income.  If you don't know whether you are considered employed or not, ask the organization paying the stipend.  Typically, stipend income is not taxable, so not "wages".  It's your personal income though.
