N-400 June 2024 Filers

Hello everyone,

 

I have been a GC holder since 2018 and filed my N-400 June 29th. I passed my test last week and got my Oath ceremony scheduled for December 12th! You guys should hear back very soon!

Ok, interview passed earlier this month, and as of today, I'm a US citizen!

Another step done, interview passed today!

 

6 super easy questions, so easy that I barely can remember them. Reading and writing done, then questions about the application. I did find a red light ticket I got in 2018 when purging paperwork last week, brought that in and mentioned it right after the test. The officer added it to the file, determined it wasn't a disqualifying event and double checked that it was reflected in the application. 

 

Then just chit chat and he approved me on the spot. First approval of the day and he was happy "it has been a rough morning". Then he triple checked my name since I did not request a name change (I did not change it when I got married 18 years ago so I do not have the desire to change it now).

 

Minutes after I left the building I received several emails and status changed to "Oath ceremony will be scheduled". Ceremony will most likely be in January or February since the JAX office does not have any scheduled for December.

I guess there were enough applicants that passed so that they scheduled another oath ceremony! 

 

Just received notice that the ceremony will happen on 12/23 in the afternoon! 😁

Yay! My combo interview is finally scheduled! Just waiting for the letter to be updated in the online portal. Filed in late June under the 3-year rule with the St. Louis field office.

Yes you could be Crabury, and if you prepare for the test it should be smooth. Filed in June and became a citizen in October 2024

HEY EVERYONE, our n400 reciept date is june 27 2024. Biometrics were reused. Havent recieved anything else so far. Tried to file inquary online and it wont let me becuase we still in "normal processing time". We filed around 60 days befor 3 year mark.

You really are in normal processing time. Especially for 3 year rule case. Especially if you have pending I-751. 12-15 months is a normal timeline for N-400. Yes, some people got lucky and got naturalized faster in 2024 due to elections. This is all behind, so I wouldn't worry until you hit at least 12 months mark on N-400 case

i think we should be good, but if green card extension expires before becoming citizen we should be able to get another extension. right?

Also on this thread it seems like a lot of people got their approval very quick compare to ours.
