Those estimates are totally made up. Here's example of somebody who got decision while their estimate showed 4 months until decision:

And on the other hand, there was somebody whose estimate said "Your case is taking longer" after only 9 days of filing...

I know. I am usually the first one to point that out in a different forum specifically for German filers. It's just funny because it happened to another user today as well.

I have been here in the US for 15 years now and it was never really an issue or an absolute requirement for me, so it can take as long as it takes ;)

My Interview is 12/3, I had the PDF of the letter in my account not long after the email.

Happy Wednesday

I had my interview this morning in Denver
The interview was scheduled at 10:15am and I was called around 10:20am

By 10:40 the officer asked me if I wanted same day oath or wait for the notice.

Of course I chose same day oath and the next ceremony was at 11am and by 11:20 I was a US citizen.

It took me a while to remember all the questions I was asked :
1. When must all men register for the Selected Service?

2. Who is the Governor of your State?

3. What does the President's cabinet do?

4. What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?

5. In what month do we vote for President

6. What is the name of the Vice President of the United States now?

My reading was:
A lot of people want to become US citizen. (or something close to it)

And my writing was:
Alaska is the largest State.
and the tablet didn't help it to look pretty

I was surprised that Denver did same day oath but I guess because of the elections they did. Overall a very very quick interview
Now I need to apply for that passport and then I am done

WOOT WOOT

Congrats to everyone who went through the interview so far and positive vibes to those who have not gotten a notice yet ... it will come

congratulations, do the questions and the answers appear on the tablet ?
