Hi all,

I applied in late June and just had my combo N-400 and I-756 interview on November 1st. For those of you that have been approved, how long did it take for you to see any updates on your USCIS account? The agent said she was going to approve me at the interview but haven't seen any movement.

Thanks!

You should receive a paper from your Interviewer telling you that you passed the question and written test. If you did, just with wait for your oath ceremony date

I did receive a paper saying I passed the question/written test and that a decision could not be made at that time - she specified that this was just due to the fact that I was approved but she needs to put everything in the system or something along those lines. Either way it sounds like I need to just keep being patient (hardest part!).

Finally recovered my password so I can contribute. I had my combo interview last Nov 12th, at the local office in Fargo, ND (closest) which was a bit wild since they sent me to MPLS to do the AOS interview a few years ago. We were ushered into a tiny office which wasn’t too bad since there weren’t anyone else there besides us and this one other gentleman.  We did a virtual interview which surprised me but in a good way. We were separated (spouse was interviewed first) then I did the combo.

The IO was overall decent, he seemed a bit strict but also straightforward. Was glad I had him. There were a few awkward moments as it was virtual and we had some pauses here and there.

my i-751 got approved, n400 had 3 different updates same day:

-Submitted for approval and quality review

-in line for oath

-Waiting for quality review

so I guess I’m waiting for that quality review to be approved. I did change my name (my first name and middle name), so that could be why

Okay, I am not sure if this helped me, but I will offer it as a suggestion. We have been waiting for an interview since the end of June 2024. Yesterday, I uploaded some supporting documents, and today, I got the email to schedule an interview. Again, I'm not sure if that did it, but it's worth a shot!!!  Interview schedule for end of December.

Update: I got my oath ceremony schedule notice (online, not yet in the mail) a few days ago and it’s in less than a month.

I applied for my passport, which has been approved. I am now waiting for it to be delivered, and that’s the final piece of the puzzle! Congratulations to everyone, and for anyone still expecting theirs, it will end in joy! 😊

That’s amazing. What additional information did you provide? I’m worried that if I send something not that important (I was super thorough with my initial application) that the officer will become annoyed.

Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well! I’m trying to get everything together before my oath taking on the 12th of December. Does anyone have any idea how long it would take to get the passport and naturalization certificate back?

To add: I’ve done a little research and I guess it would take 2-3 weeks to get the US Passport and another 1-2 weeks to get our naturalization certificate back? So about a month in total? 🤔
