Hi all,

I guess I should join your ranks after being absent from visa journey for quite a while.

I waited until my home country (Germany) allowed dual citizenship before filing for naturalization, like a few others.

I filed 6/22 online under the 5 year rule. Immediately received the NOA and biometrics waiver. Field office will be Jacksonville, Florida.

Here’s to hoping it progresses fast, hope the background check goes fast since I had one done last year due to my husband’s work (federal service). That’s usually the hold up.

10-10-2008: I-130 Sent

11-14-2008: NOA1

01-13-2009: Transfer to CSC

01-30-2009: APPROVED!!!!!!!!!

02-04-2009: NOA2 in mail

04-14-2009: medical

05-14-2009: Interview

05-15-2009: picked up visa

05-24-2009: PoE: Miami

06-04-2009: received 2 ! welcome letters

06-08-2009: received 3rd welcome letter

06-25-2009: Greencard in mail

07-06-2009: received SSN

07-13-2009: got my DL!

Just got notification of update today! Interview is scheduled on 9/5 in St. Louis.

Applied 6/27

NOA and Biometrics re-use notification 6/28.

I applied under the >5 years rule.

Hope everyone else gets their interview notices soon, too!

K1

Spoiler

12/18/2015- NOA 1

1/29/2016- NOA 2

2/18/2016- Letter from NVC saying they're forwarding to Guangzhou

3/4/2016- Received P3, returned it about a week later

3/22/2016- P4 email

5/12/16- Interview. Approved!

5/16/16- After a few days saying administrative processing, CEAC now says issued!

Additional snafu: my fiancé came over on his visa, but just a month later (and the day before we were going to get married) he had an emergency that necessitated him returning to China.  I contacted the Guangzhou consulate via their email system, provided the requested documents/proof, and he was granted a second interview for "reissuance."  He had to re-do the medical, redo the interview (bringing yet another copy of all of the things he had to bring the first time) and we were approved again!  He received what looked like a new visa in his passport, but the original 90 day countdown for marriage was still ticking.  He came back to the US and we got married right away!

8/22/16- Married!

AOS

9/30/16- Filed for AOS, EA, AP

10/6/16- NOA 1 for AOS, EA, and AP (USCIS case status website says case was received on October 4th)

11/9/16- Bio appointment

12/13/16- EA and AP approved!

no news... case status on website still says "fingerprint fee received..."

4/11/17- submitted online service request for case out of normal processing time (over 6 months)

5/2/17- USCIS website updated to "My card is being produced!"

5/10/17- Green Card received

ROC

3/2/19- Filed ROC

3/8/19- NOA/18mo extension received

5/7/19- Bio appointment

9/2/20- Interview scheduled for next month!

Me just sitting here checking my emails every morning, and my USCIS account. Nothing, nada, zilch, babkes... 🫠

We wanted to do a West Coast vacay in September, guess it is safe to book it. JAX seems to be on the slow side of all field offices. I only had to deal with them once to renew my 10 year Green Card in 2019 (came her with an IR1, so no AOS or anything) and that went smoothly.

How is everybody else holding up?

Same same keep on checking but of course nothing.
I finally found my old timeline and updated what my AOS was.
I have still hope especially since I would love to visit my grandma next year and I would need a passport for that and I don’t want to chance it having to cancel any bookings.
