EXPEDITED MEETS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

I submitted an expedite request for humanitarian reasons. I spoke to a Tier 2 officer and then I received an email notice confirming my request meets the minimum requirements and it was sent to the office that has my case.

My questions are:

  • Can I track my expedite request? (have seen online that people have been able to track their expedite request but I don't see that option anywhere for me.)
  • Has anyone ever received the notice that your request meets the min requirements? If so what was the outcome for you?

I130: 3/22/2024

  1. NOA: 4/11/2024
  2.

I129F: 4/24/2024

  1. NOA: 4/29/2024
  2.

Expedite Req.:    5/21/2024

  • Spoke w/Tier 2 officer 5/28/2024
  • Received email - meets minimum requirements(sent to office): 5/28/2024
  • 9/21/2024 - Expedite request has been denied

I did an expedited in 2021 so not sure if things have changed. Anyhow, once NVCExpedited believed I had a valid reason they contacted me via email that my request was being forwarded to the embassy/consulate that will be doing the  interview. Note, it is only the U.S. Embassy or Consulate that has the final decision to approve or deny expedite requests.

Once the Embassy approved my request, NVCExpedited informed me via email of this decision.  They also updated my NVC online account with the message "Case has been expedited to post"  This took about 2 weeks from request for expedite to final approval by the embassy.

We then waited for the Embassy to contact us with an interview date.  This will vary based on case load.

07 Nov 2019 - IR-1 Submittes Online / Priority Date
17 July 2020 - I-130 Approval Notice (Nebraska Service Center)
15 Sept 2020* - Submitted documents to NVC
01 Oct 2020 -  Case FE Review note: Request to submit marriage termination document.
01 Oct 2020 -  Spouse divorce papers submitted
01 Oct 2020 - DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED

Notes:
* Foreign police clearance lost by Fedex - delayed submission to NVC by 6 weeks.

I haven’t gotten that far yet, I’m still at the USCIS stage

Oops … sorry I misunderstood your request.  If the Officer gave you a receipt number then maybe try USCIS Case Status Online.  Otherwise hopefully someone will respond with a better solution.
