I filed in May 15th got an RFE today for medical (which i have ready to send) and more important the Affidavit of Support.

Screen shot i believe is then saying my Wife doesn’t hit the 125% poverty line although i think she did. Could this mean i simply filled it in incorrectly?

Another question and probably the most important one, we could add one of her parents on there as a joint sponsor as her father would cover the poverty line easily. However when filling in that for him to be added would we need to included my spouses other siblings as we all live in the same house currently and when it asks for household size would he need to put the other children in there? For reference there’s Me and my Wife, her older sister, younger brother and both parent.

Just a bit confusing with adding a joint sponsor and would appreciate any help! Thank you

What evidence did you submit to show her current income?

I believe it was her most recent tax forms, 2 out of the last 3 years as i think we didn’t have the 2nd year on hand.

Tax returns are evidence of past income, not current.

Evidence of current income are most recent paystubs and an official employment letter from your employer stating your salary.

If your wife is well qualified, I would only provide her documents without adding the joint sponsor.

To answer the question though, they’re counted in the household size only if they’re claimed as dependents on their taxes or if they’re minor children.

So none of them should be  dependants anymore, so our household would still be 2 (me and my wife) and her father as joint sponsor would put his household as 2 also? (himself and his wife)

if for example her brother was still a dependant, we would still put 2 for our household but her father would then put 3?

And also the intending immigrant so 3.

4 because you have to also add the intending immigrant.

Sorry to bring this up again, but would you recommend just sending in the documents like her payslips/contract stating her payday etc. Or would i need to refill the entire form again?

I would provide exactly what the RFE is asking for.
