Time between NOA1 and NOA2

Dina and I received our NOA1 last week Have we entered an informational black hole until the NOA2 arrives??

Far less than the NOA2 to embassy stage, I'll tell you that.

Checking similar timelines here, or TMVN (even the free access) allows to you follow your case to the front of the line.  Don't get too comfy though; once the petition is approved, you'll be in much murkier waters, depending on the embassy.

Hopefully you should get the NOA2 in about 3 months. Mine did. Obviously keep an eye out for your mail from anything from uscis, check your receipt number for any updates on the USCIS website.

Receipt number is the WAC......? Will this tell us when our stuff gets transferred from the lockbox to CA?

If you have a receipt number, that reflects which USCIS center it went to.  WAC stands for Western Adjudication Center, aka the California Service Center where all K1s go initially.
