I'm a retired old veteran in the U/S. I want to bring a young columbian woman and her son to the US this fall

Also:  there is no way to bring her as early as Fall 2024.   Immigration is time consuming and expensive.

suppose, guys, I was to go to Bogota, marry her there, live with her say, the 6 months that I can stay there on an extended tourist visa,  and then have her come to the US on a tourist visa? Does that change anything about her getting a change of status and staying here, at least, long enough to get her green card, so she can get the VA payment for college and loans/grants? I doubt that she'd bring her son. If she doesn't , her returning to Columbia is an assured thing. She's a fine mother.

she can not come on tourist visa and adjust to stay in US

and when she tries for tourist visa , it will be denied as u are married

u can not avoid the 2 year wait

I was also wondering if this is someone you have met.

No. Tourist visas are non-immigrant visas. Entering with the intent to use a tourist visa to immigrate is fraud.  Misrepresentation is not taken lightly.

This sounds like someone you have not met yet.  You are opening yourself up to a world of trouble. Just go and live out your days there. At least visit and see what the real deal is.

Finally done...

Have you met her?

Married and trying for tourist visa,  after waiting over 600 days for an interview,   she would be denied as she would have  have immigrant intent to stay on a B1/B2 visa /  that's the fraud part

You r trying to circumvent the process and u can't

It’s fraud for someone to enter the U.S. on a B visa with the intention to adjust status.

Marriage itself confers no immigration benefit.   You need to petition her for an immigrant visa.

she can[t get VA rule 35 money, or loans or grants until she gets her green card. guys. Apparently, she can't get her green card without having come here first?  I want her to have that $2000 per month and the ROTC National Guard  membership., as an officer.  I"m too old to get life insurance and I want her to be provided-for after I"m gone.
