hi! My husband is a US citizen and the processing time for his petition for my daughter was due last July 5,2005 and yet we haven't received any letters or medical&interview schedule from the NVC. what's the best way to follow up about it, by phone or by mail? the processing date for California as of March 20, 2006 is Sept. 16, 2005. We've been waiting for those papers since July coz my 18month old baby is getting bigger now and we really miss her so much. Hope somebody out there can give me some help or advice. Thanks.

my husband called USCIS this morning and they told him to call NVC because there's no advice yet from NVC that there's an availble visa for my daughter. :(

Did your husband receive an approval notice for the I-130? Are you saying that yes, he did, and it was received in last July?

i guess not... he just filed the petition for our daughter last july 6,2005 and the priority date now is sept.16,2005 2months past our processing date. and you know what, we called up USCIS this morning and the guy told my husband that the reason why we haven't received any approval notice from them yet is because my daughter's papers were misplaced, maybe it's not with the same kind of petition (I-130) and they told us to wait for 30days if we don't receive any approval letter yet we can follow it up to them... they gave us a tracking number. and I was so pissed coz we've been waiting for those papers since january2006 they didn't even informed us that my daughter's papers were misplaced! somebody advised me to write a letter to USCIS to follow up the papers but I don't know were to address the letter and what do I have to put on that letter. maybe you can help me with that. thanks for the concern... :help:

you can call the the embassy here in the philippines or write them a letter saying you were still interested.. or you can update her case to this national visa center status case online just need your wac number that is written in the approval letter. well, since your daughter is below 21 years old their is available visa for her.

This post is over 3 years old. I would think the original poster has resolved the issues by now..
