For those of you whose filings were returned due to rejected credit card charges (triggered by credit card ''security'' features), did you refile using the exact same application package that was returned to you or did you print out your application materials anew?

The green slip we received does mention that if the application is refiled, the green slip should be placed on the top, which makes me wonder if I can literally send back my original package (which now has the markups from the USCIS staff that has already sorted through it) and just add a new payment option. Thoughts?

We just sent back the same pages. I noticed that we had one page that was was filled out wrong so I did print that one new page but kept the rest. We didn’t have an issue doing it that way.  I did get a money order for the second time to prevent any issues.

Thank you! That's great to hear. I am planning to do a personal check this time around. How long did it take them to process it, after you re-sent it, if I may ask?

If by any chance your previous package was filed before 1st April, make sure you use the new fees.

Good luck.

I just received our rejection for our application as well because I provided the wrong credit card number. I was wondering if I can send the same application which now has some printed writing at the bottom of each page, but also it is stapled together, including the I-797C rejection letter on top of everything, and the green slip right under that. Now my question is do I just send them as is with the new payment document? And leave everything together as they are stapled? Or do I remove the staple to keep the I-797C for my records and send everything. Knowing how particular they are about staples, i’m just worried as to why they did that and if im supposed to reprint everything. Im freaking out a bit because I don’t want to delay the process any longer and I want to send it right.

anyone experience the same thing?

Yes, send it back. Do not unstaple. Keep the same order. Place green slip on top. You can also add a note, in addition to the correct form.
