You have "6 months" to use a K1, I have read. What is the clock start date? My fiancee's K1 shows a 25 september expiration date but an issuance date of 16 may (last week). that's only a little over 4 months. We will be able to meet that deadline easily, but we had expected an expiration date in November.   Did the clock start when our petition was approved?

(Ignore the timeline, that's my previous spouse)

It's based on the medical exam, my fiancee medical at Bintaro included a putum test that added 3 months to the process, to make a long story short, once he was given his visa to enter the USA, it only was good for 3 weeks.  He entered the US the day before the visa expired.
