I'm new and am not sure if this is where I post this question.

I married a Filipina in November of 2023, she arrived on a k1 visa in Oct the month before.   She has two children who didn't come or was filed with the k1.  We did however answer that question on the form if the beneficiary had children and if they would eventually follow.

Now that we are situated a little better we want to file their paperwork.   We've never done this and are hearing that there is a 12 month time limit from date k1 visa was issued.

question.

It's been almost 7 months since my spouse entered the U.S. on her k1 visa.  With 5 months remaining of the k2 time limit, is there enough time left to file the paperwork?  How does it work?  Does the time limit stop once we file the k2?

Whats the average timeline from filing a k2 to visa approval?

Next question.

Can anyone recommend an affordable group or person that can help through this process.  I used Rapid Visa for the K1 process and they were very affordable

and guided me through the whole process,  they double checked all my documents to make sure everything was right. Rapid Visa sadly told me they didn't do k2 visas.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

~~Moved to K1 P&P, from Bringing Family Members of PR- As the OP is still very much in the window for a Follow to Join K2~~

Right now all you need to do is call (if they take calls) or email the consulate and tell you you want to start the process for Follow to join.
