Hey, :help: Yesterday and today I tried to email the US Embassy in Cairo... consularcairoIV@state.gov

and I keep getting my mail msgs sent back to me saying Delivery Status Failed !!! I never had that before and this is 2 days now. Any one else have this problem sending an email to Cairo yesterday or today???

Im very curious now!

Hi Tam,

I went to the embassy site and checked the email address and it is correct, however when I clicked on the email address i was sent to another page and stated it was unavailable or temporarily out of service. Sooo I would assume their email site is down for maintenance or repair. Would try again and good luck! :star:

This doesn't suprise me at all i was going to email them but i guess now looks like i will have to wait. I guess you can expect this coming from Cairo. I hope you all here some good news from them soon! :yes:

7/12/2006----Replied to RFE (IMBRA) Sent back.

7/17/2006----Our 1 year Anniversary!!!!

7/19/2006----VSC recieved RFE (IMBRA).

7/20/2006----touched

8/18/2006----touched

8/18/2006----NOA2!!!!!! THANK YOU GOD!!!!

8/18/2006----VSC sent our petition to NVC.

8/19/2006----touched

8/22/2006----NVC recieved our petition.

8/23/2006----NVC sent our petition to Cairo Embassy.

8/25/2006----Recieved NOA2 Approval letter in the mail.

8/28/2006----Recieved NVC letter with new case number.

8/31/2006----Cairo Embassy recieved our petition.

9/24/2006----I emailed the Embassy reguarding my fiance's packet 3.

10/17/2006--Cairo sent packet 3 for the second time to my fiance. First one was never recieved.

10/19/2006--Packet 3 recieved.

12/20/2006--Packet 3 sent.

12/21/2006--Cairo Embassy recieved packet 3.

2/21/2007---Packet 4 recieved.

3/12/2007---Interview (He Passed)!

3/12/2007---Administrative Processing begins.............God please help me get through this!

7/17/2007---Our 2 Year Anniversay!!!

10/23/2007--7 months and 2 weeks of A/P and still waiting..........God help me!

4/22/2008---2nd Interview ( keep us in your prayers)

4/22/2008--He was approved for the Visa 2-3 weeks until he recieves it in the mail lets hope so!!

6/03/2008--VISA IN HAND! Thank you god!

7/03/2008--Our Wedding Day!

aww Tam! Sorry to hear about the problems. I last emailed July 29 and they replied Aug. 5. They did update their interview schedule yesterday, however. Hopefully you'll be able to get through soon!

I just got the same failure message today from an email I sent off yesterday. I resent it tonight and we''ll see if it goes through. :wacko::wacko: Cairo consulate is driving me crazy!!!!! :wacko::wacko:

06/06/06 I-130 sent (finally!!)

07/12/06 NOA1

10/02/06 Approved!!!

07/20/06 I129f sent

07/24/06 NOA1

09/27/06 I129f approved!!!!

10/06/06 At NVC and case # assigned. Woohoo!!!

10/10/06 NVC sent K3 documents to Cairo today!!!

10/15/06 K3 documents received at Cairo consulate.

10/29/06 Packet 3 received.

11/01/06 Medical appointment

11/08/06 Medical certificate received

11/10/06 Packet 3 sent by delivery service

11/12/06 Packet received at consulate

02/05/07 Interview Date

02/16/07 10 day trip to Egypt

06/25/07 Home visit by field investigator

01/14/08 Got the email to send in his passport for visa!!!!

01/28/08 VISA IN HAND!!!!!!!!!

03/17/08 Arrival in USA!!!!!!!

I sent another email to the Embassy and so far nothing has been a failed return... but we will see if it goes thru or not

Truthfully VJ girls, I feel like my life is on hold and I know that u all probably do too in your own ways. I had no idea what to be expecting before we was going into any of this. I love and miss Adam so much and I just hope and pray that the government does their job right and quickly and our men get their visas soon. There is so much I want to do but I wont do it until Adam is here with me and I feel kinda sad tonight thinking about it. :cry:

and to my understanding right now... if our security clearances are still on hold like DOS said today... then its not Cairo I am waiting for... they (dos) keeps telling me the "agencies" havent finished them...

I wish I knew who was in charge of these "agencies" :protest:

Trust me Tamara.....I understand exactly how you are feeling.....especially the part with feeling your life is on hold. I hope your email goes through this time. Just think.....in a few weeks you & your husband will be reunited.....try to look forward to that.

I hope Cairobound, Becky&Sam, AJ1, waiting4myhabibi, and anyone else who has been waiting WAY TOO LONG hears some good news soon.....I really hope so cuz it gives me hope for the rest of us.

I called the embassy and the girl told me that she didn't have an answer to whether the email was working or not. Also, she didn't have another email for the consular. She said to try emailing from a different email address or a different location. Then she told me to call American Services to ask if they had any additional help for this problem. The lady who answered the phone sent me a test mail from the consular's address and I received it. **see below**

Just keep trying to contact them. Make sure the email address is typed correctly and try to use another email account or computer. Good luck everyone.

I sent one off on Monday and it hasn't been returned to me..that I know of. It was from my work email so who knows if it's lost in cyberspace. I'll let you know if they reply but I don't expect anything until next week. I kind of feel like a nuisance by emailing them once/week but oh well. :whistle:

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

Nuisance? How can you be a nuisance when they don't even bother to reply for weeks at a time? Don't feel bad doodle. They are used to getting multiple emails.
