How to proceed after Ready status (Split)

Hi,

We have received our K1-FTP on 16-Apr-2024. It did not contain an invoice ID, so I sent an email and the NVC provided both the invoice ID and a beneficiary ID number. I checked the status, and it is in the ready state since 18-Apr-2024. On that status page it says to call the number provided and schedule interview. Below is what I get when checking status:

"Please follow the appointment schedule provided to you by NVC. If you do not have a schedule from NVC, please wait for scheduling instructions or a notification from the U.S. Embassy Manila.
For inquiries, please proceed to http://www.ustraveldocs.com, or call the Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632)792-8988 or (632)548-8223 in the Philippines between 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. If you are calling from the United States, please call (703)520-2235 between 7:00 PM-7:00 AM EST / 6:00 PM-6:00 AM CST / 5:00 PM-5:00 AM MST / 4:00 PM-4:00 AM PST. The call center is open Monday through Friday, except on U.S. and Philippine holidays. Callers must have the case number, passport number, and passport expiry date for each applicant (principal applicant and derivative family members) ready when requesting a visa appointment.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV."

I followed the instructions above and the agents keep telling me to wait for instructions on a welcome letter. I asked them if the K1-FTP is the welcome letter, and they say no its not.
They tell me we have to wait for the Embassy to contact us before we can schedule an appointment. I've been calling for a month now and they keep telling us we have to wait. I'm getting conflicting information from various sources on what to do next. The agents escalated our issue and gave me a case number, but we have still not heard anything. I get the feeling they don't know what they are doing. I've talk to three different agents and questioned them about the K1 visa process and all the info they can give is wait for welcome letter and they keep saying they can't guarantee how long it takes even though I didn't question the time frame.
I honestly have spent hours/days trying to research and educate myself on the process. Guess my education skills are lacking?

Can anyone who has been though the process recently give me some Insite/information on how to proceed? Like scheduling and what/where we have to do to schedule interview.

Very frustrating and confusing that the information is so different depending on who you talk to.

Thanks, and any information/help would be very much appreciated.

For Manila, you do not have to wait for anything from the embassy to schedule your appointment.  Complete the DS-160 and pay the visa fee.  After payment is validated, you are free to schedule your interview appointment on ustraveldocs.  Once you know your interview date, schedule medical exam a week or so prior to interview date.

The "welcome letter" may or may not ever arrive.  It is not needed for any steps along the way.

Thanks J. M. for your reply!

We've completed the DS160 a couple of weeks ago. I tried to create an account on portal.ustraveldocs.com/SiteRegister?refURL=http%3A%2F%2Fportal.ustraveldocs.com%2FSiteRegister   and this is the message I get.

Create the account here: Apply for a U.S. Visa | Schedule/Change My Appointment - Philippines (English) (ustraveldocs.com)

Click "login" and it will take you to the login page, where you can create a "new user" account.  It looks very similar to the page you linked to, but it might be different, so give it a try.

Thanks J.M.  I went to that link and tried to create an account under my fiancés email and name. but got the above error message. I then tried to create an account under my name/email, and it worked. Shouldn't the account be in my fiancé's name and address since she's the one filing for the visa? Its asking about me and not my beneficiary?

The DS-160 is intended for the beneficiary to fill out.  You can use her email or yours, but her name.  I filled it out for my fiancée and just had her review and submit it.  I used my email, not hers.

Thanks J.M. Yes, it would only let me create an account in my name and email, not hers. I did just use her information and Marjorie (my fiancé) will be paying the fee today (or the next business day the bank is open). I completed all the information and just need the receipt number to finish and schedule. I really appreciate the good information. If we just waited for the welcome letter and kept trying to login using her email/name we'd probably be stuck in limbo for quite some time. I'm an engineer and this whole process makes me feel ignorant and dumb. I'm used to using clear and precise information to create solutions. I looked through a lot of out of date/inaccurate information on the internet. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the immigration process in my opinion. Thought about using the Mexico route? 😂

The only thing left prior to the interview is the Medical Exam. Will schedule that with St. Luke and trying to figure out how or if Marjorie can obtain a police certificate from Indonesia and India. From my research according to travel.state.gov it looks like they are not available from Indonesia and for India "Comments: Police certificates are only available for Indian nationals and non-Indian nationals currently living in India. Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) nationals applying outside India.

Thanks, again for all your help.
