K1 VISA Appointments Not Avilable - Mad, Spain

Hi everyone,

so I already filled and submitted my DS160 for the K1 visa which is 'Ready'. Then I went to do the payment but it doesn't let me. I get redirected to 'There are no available appointments at this time. Please check back in a few days as the Consular Section will open more appointments'. Does anybody know how often does Madrid embassy open new appointments for K1?

Also, I can't pay because there are no appointments available? Otherwise why do I get sent back to that message?

Thanks everyone!

This happened to a few of us last year:

The embassy requires you to email a copy of the DS160 Confirmation Page which contains a barcode.

Once they receive it and approve it, they will unlock the functionality for you to pay and schedule an appointment.

You can either pay with credit card (which is what I did) or via local bank transfer.

The CC payment was approved immediately, but bank transfers take 2-3 days.

DM me if you have any other questions!

They don’t have a set schedule for when new slots open up, so it’s a bit of a waiting game. Also, you can just mail them a copy of DS160 confirmation page, then you can schedule an appointment.

These resources might come in hand for you over there
