k1 visa interview canceled

Hello!

My fiance and I got directions to schedule our K1 interview at the French Embassy on May 6th, 2024, even though our petition is set to expire in July. We went ahead and scheduled it for October, but we just received an email saying it was canceled but not given a reason; when we logged into the portal, our appointment was still there. That was also the only date available when we scheduled. Has anyone else experienced this or understood why they would cancel it? We haven't been provided any more information.

Thank you.

You said your petition expected to be expire July if I heard you correct and you continue to schedule for your interview on October, later on you received an email said your appointment is canceled. I can only advise you to call the embassy, because the time frame you are giving tells an expiring event out of the basic frame process.
