Religious worker immigrant visa

Hello there

From what I'm seeing in the immigration visa statistics, it's been almost 4 years since any religious worker immigrant visa has been issued, whether it was SD1 or SR1. Does anyone have any idea about this?

I applied on October 2020 and was DQ'd on April 1st. Now waiting for the Interview Letter.

Thank you

Not sure where you're reading that. 722 were issued last FY. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2023AnnualReport/FY2023_AR_TableV_Part2.pdf

Which consulate is it? Hope it's a quick one and that your PD becomes current soon so you can get a visa and enter the US before the deadline. 🤞

Thank you!

I was looking here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html  I couldn't find any SD1 or SR1 issued

My PD was October 2020, and I received an email 6 weeks ago saying I'm DQ'd, now waiting for the interview from Beirut's embassy in Lebanon.

Which deadline are you talking about?

I looked up the deadline you are mentioning, is it what they call the sunset date? Obviously things don't go quickly here in Beirut. Don't they extend this deadline each year? What happens if the deadline comes before getting the visa?

As above, they've certainly issued lots in the past 4 years.

Re: the deadline, it may be extended, but of course no guarantee. The current program was only just extended in March (until Sept).

So if you are SR you must have your visa in hand and have entered the US by Sept 29th unless it does get extended.

Good luck.
