Hi there, Im currently living in Iran with my wife and children. Myself and the children are us citizens. We filed for the i130 and was approved and sent to nvc a couple days ago. Currently waiting for the welcome letter.

As for the i864, I have filed taxes for the past 10 years. but for 2023 income was around 8k, 2022 around 10k and 2021 around 15k. The income was based on stock sales and bank interests.

In savings I currently have around 300k liquid in cash. Would this be enough ? My father is willing to be a joint sponsor for us but he as well has no income but has a property worth around 2million which is paid off and 100k in cash. would having him as a joint sponsor help at all ?

Also I had a job interview over skype and have a letter from the company which I would like to work that I have been hired and can start working from the day which I arrive with a 70k salary per year.

Another question I have for the annual income part in the form, which I believe is an estimate of my income for 2024 , can I put like 35k ? ( assuming I will get my visa in a month , that would be half of the 70k which I have been promised by the company? )

so stressed out from this :(

You need to sort out your taxes and I would find another Joint Sponsor

Looks like I misread you are up to date on your taxes.

if I submit without a joint sponsor what would happen? my spouse would go for her interview and they would deny it completley ? or would they ask for a joint sponsor after the interview or before the interview?

If you want to try, and you may succeed, I would have the Joint Sponsor in my back pocket

Yes, 300k USD in cash will do nicely for your wife and even three or four children.  State your income in the tax section by entering the number on the "Total Income" line of your past three tax returns.  You will get a notice "suggesting" that you "MAY" want to use a joint sponsor.  Just ignore that message.  You are a self employed investor, in the present tense, so your job offer is meaningless.  If you want to use the income from a future job, go start working now, so you can state the full 70k as your current income.  You do not "estimate" but if your salary is 70k that's your current income.  (again, only if you are actually working at that job presently)

Presumably you have other assets producing investment income.  State and document those assets too.  It's time to become an A-Student of the I-864 and it's separate instructions.

You are at NVC.  Your wife is still a few months away from a visa.
