No. Did you look up Masr????

Yes I did but found nothing to help with photo. I searched GoogleEarth and found HUGE evaporation ponds on the sourthern edge of the city with white areas that could well be where this photo is from. What are these ponds and what are the white areas?

It may not be the White House but it is literally a stones throw from it. It is the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum on the corner of C Streeet NW & 17th Street NW in Washington DC. It is across the street from the Ellipse in front of the White House.
