Packet 3 - Frankfurt consulate in Germany

I have another question...

I've paid the Fee and send the consulate the confirmation page of my DS160 by email. That is all I was supposed to do after receiving packet 3, correct? 🤔

On the website where the payment methods were explained it said I would be able to schedule an appointment directly after paying the fee when I used the Online Payment by Debit Card.
But...Where? How? It never directed me to a page where to do this. Now when I login at USTravelDocs, it does indeeed show the $265 fee i paid which was at 0 before, if i remember correctly.

I also had the payment acceptance - receipt + receiptnumber. I took a screenshot of this on my phone and I downloaded the PDF so I can print it when im at work.

Is this the part where I wait for the P4 email and will I be able to schedule the appointment after? 🙈 I did get an automated Email so they have received it.

So far they also never even replied to inquiries, so i lost my trust there...🤨

I've been reading so much information yet i feel completely clueless. I think I confused myself.🥴

I just need the "Sit down and listen: Do this, and do it in this order!" version.😂

Allright. I need to step away from this for today, or until i finally get in touch with consulate🫣

I retraced my steps of what I did yesterday when I paid the fee, and now a screen popped up....

I missed this Yesterday or I forgot about it this morning.

Either way, I will wait for the response from the consulate.😮‍💨

I'm in doubt.

The instructions in the checklist say to submit DS-160, pay the visa fee and email the confirmation page.

Do they mean the confirmation page of the DS-160 or the payment of the visa fee? or both?

Oh good. Maybe the letter got returned to sender so they just emailed it lol

My fiance just emailed the confirmation page of the submitted DS-160, not the visa fee itself.

I'll surely add a review when ive had my interview! All details i can give could potentially help other prepare for everything :)

So far i am happy they respond quickly to email, as long as you put the right thing in the subject line

Hey Rosaly,

I think a similar thing happened to me apparently. The case tracker has been saying "ready" since June 3rd and I still haven't received my packet 3. I only now realized that I actually might need it. I'm really confused on what to do now. The steps I did after reading your case is contacting the embassy per mail and saying that I think the letter got lost and I also just filled out the DS-160 and have the confirmation page of this now. If you have time to answer this can you maybe explain to me what are the next steps I should do now without the packet 3? I'm confused on where to pay the visa fee and where I need to send the confirmation page to? Also, do you know if I can/should  schedule the medical examination appointment now or should I wait for the packet 3?

I saw you will have your interview soon so I'm wishing you the best of luck for that😊

Hi,

You could go here: https://tinyurl.com/FrankfurtVisas  (Thank you again Mallorycat!)

just answer the questions and it will tell you what to mail exactly and what to use in the subject line to  make sure it goes to the right place once mailed.

You will get an automated response first. For me, they responded within a week with my packet 3 per mail.

As for the steps: DS-160 Submitted? mail the confirmation page to (Capital i) I22 - (insert Casenumber that starts with FRN)

The Visa fee: Go to portal.ustraveldocs.com and create an account there. update your profile and follow the steps to pay the Visa Fee. this is not hard, just takes some time reading!

Once the consulate mails you in response to your DS-160, you can schedule the actual date for your appointment.

Do you know which documents to gather? have you found that somewhere already?

Has anyone have experience with mail being stuck at customs?

My USC fiance mailed me more documents needed for interview on saturday, June 22.

The track and trace code shows it arrived in the netherlands yesterday morning at 7am, at customs. Since then it hasn't moved, it keeps saying in transit with the same time and dat stamp .

For comparison: last time he mailed me documents, it was in my posession within a week. And it blitzed through customs: I had it the day after it had arrived at customs.

Mail service is USPS.
