I had my N-400 interview two weeks ago. The IO recommended me for approval however was not able to do that right away, due to him saying that my I-751 is still pending. I realized afterwards that my I-751 is not pending anymore, I have my 10 GC already, and even had it with me at the interview.

My status online has not updated either, it still says Interview Scheduled.

Does it make sense to follow up or is this normal that the status does not move even after I passed the interview?

You can try following up. I'm pretty sure IO got confused... Maybe they are not experienced, and forgot to update your online case status.

Was it a N-400 interview under 3 year rule? Did your US citizen spouse attend with you?

This forum helped me a lot in my journey so wanted to give back.

I became a U.S. citizen last week. Applied in May 2024. NY office. Under 3Y rule. I applied a few months after the 3Y rule was applicable to me. My Removal of Condition (ROC) on Green Card (GC) was pending during application. I wrote to my local representative in September to help expedite my case, because I did not see any movement. It helped. I received my interview date within a week and ROC was processed at the same time. I received my new GC before the interview. The interview was schedule mid-November and Oath ceremony was scheduled mid-December.

Interview was in 26 Federal Plaza building 7th Floor. The process was simple. I arrived 30 mins early. Did an airport style check-in. Waited in the 7th floor waiting zone to be called in. My spouse was there with me. When I was called in, my spouse waited in that area. Interviewer did not know that my ROC was removed, so I showed him the new GC. Then I was asked few questions on name, address, DoB. There were a few pieces of information that the system was missing (dates, work location, etc.) that the interviewer helped fill in. I was able to answer the first 6 civics questions, so he stopped there, and moved on to the Yes/No questions. After that, he informed me that my case was approved. I signed the declarations on the electronic device - a pen was provided which worked reasonably well. I had taken a pen with e-tip in case it didn't work but didn't need to use it.

He informed me that same-day oaths are no longer happening in NY.

Questions asked:

1. We elect a U.S. Representative for how many years?

2. Name one state that borders Canada.

3. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

Apologies, can't remember the other three.

Hope this is helpful. Please feel free ask any questions. All the best.

Thanks for that. I did use the chat function through Emma but they weren't helpful. It seems like I will have to wait 90 days before I can get them to look at it further. I hope my Oath Letter comes before that.

Did you note officer's name? You could, in theory, write a letter outlying facts to see if it helps them to make a decision.
