Hi VJ friends and community,

That’s a wrap!

My wife naturalized yesterday at the Eastern District Federal Courthouse in Brooklyn. There were about 100–120 people naturalizing at the same time, representing 40–50 different countries.

She interviewed in January of this year. We brought a trusted lawyer with us, and our attorney reviewed everything beforehand, which helped the interview go smoothly. Also having  familiar face helped my wife feel comfortable during the actual interview too. USCIS was very professional throughout our whole process.

Best of luck to everyone still on the journey! I know many people are worried about the political climate, and I just want to emphasize that we began our journey at the end of the current administration's first term and completed it at the start of the second. While requirements can be enforced differently over time, if you stay focused on doing the right thing throughout the process, there is still a path to legal and secure immigration—even today.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, so keep your head down and your resolve high. The journey will take longer than you expect, and be filled with more ups and downs than you can imagine—but in the end, I promise, it will be worth it.

Best of luck again, and thank you, VJ!
