You may want your spouse to also come with you if you're filing under 3 year rule. And especially if you have pending I-751.

No I don't have a pending I-751, we were already married more than 2 years when we were issued the GC so its a full 10 year greencard I have. It's virtually impossible for him to come with me because hes an independent contractor for Paychex and there would be no one to cover his route :(

Got it. Some IOs may not be happy and ask where your spouse is. But some are totally fine and never ask. Good luck!

My wife had her interview today. Milwaukee office. 5 year rule. They asked her a couple questions about the N400 form. Mostly about her speeding ticket (dates, was the fine paid, ect) but there was some confusion about where we got married. He thought we got married in Wisconsin for some reason but we got married in the Philippines (even though we submitted our marriage certificate with the N400). Once my wife cleared that up he moved on.

She took the civics test and passed then the interviewer told her he could tell her English was good so she didn't have to do the reading or writing part. Then she was told she passed and an appointment letter for the oath would be in the mail in a week or two.

My wife was so worried and studying and memorizing every detail of her N400 form. She even memorized the answers to all 100 civics questions. Then it turned out to be a brief interview.

One question. My step son is almost 18 and my wife should compete her oath well before then. What is the next step for his naturalization?

When I was taking my Oath, officer was asking people if someone have kids under 18 I believe, they said once they take the Oath, they can submit N600 form (if kid has green card) and kid will become citizen as well. I would check that form information.

My question is do we have to file the n600 before he is 18 or does my wife just have to take her oath before he is 18?

Anyone here still waiting for an interview date? I applied in late May under the 3 year rule and have a pending i751. There's been no traction on either in a long time. The website says my last update was in early October.

Do I need to start reaching out to my congressperson?

This is normal. Prior to election cycle N-400s used to take over a year.

Well it's a wrap for me! My immigration journey came to an end today, interview at Hartford - under 3 year rule. Super straight forward, the officers were all very nice. I was approved and received a same day oath! I am officially a citizen. Thanks again to all of the community here for everything! Good luck to everyone, it's been a ride. ❤️🙏

Congratulations! Did your spouse come with you? Did IO ask about the spouse's whereabouts? Or spouse wasn't mentioned at all in your case?

Thank you! No he didnt come, the IO didnt ask. I took a whole bunch of additional evidence with me to support marriage etc - he didnt ask for anything, no photos, no taxes. He didnt ask for any details about our marriage at all, he seemed satisfied with what I already sent in.
