Had my interview today. Approved 🎉🥳 not sure how long it took, but was nice conversation and smooth process with great officer.

 

San Antonio TX field office, 5 year rule. 

Oath ceremony scheduled for the next week.

My wife had her interview today. Milwaukee office. 5 year rule. They asked her a couple questions about the N400 form. Mostly about her speeding ticket (dates, was the fine paid, ect) but there was some confusion about where we got married. He thought we got married in Wisconsin for some reason but we got married in the Philippines (even though we submitted our marriage certificate with the N400). Once my wife cleared that up he moved on.

 

She took the civics test and passed then the interviewer told her he could tell her English was good so she didn't have to do the reading or writing part. Then she was told she passed and an appointment letter for the oath would be in the mail in a week or two.

 

My wife was so worried and studying and memorizing every detail of her N400 form. She even memorized the answers to all 100 civics questions. Then it turned out to be a brief interview.  

 

One question. My step son is almost 18 and my wife should compete her oath well before then. What is the next step for his naturalization?

My wife had her interview in Milwaukee today. It was also quick for her. She is also waiting for her oath to be scheduled.

So as the interview date gets ever closer, I am finding myself in a very slight panic 😬😅 Having read that some people who applied under the 3 year rule are being asked to provide more proof AFTER the interview. We live in my husbands parents house, we have no joint bills, no joint bank accounts and no children together. On my application I submitted - 

- 3 Years of joint tax transcripts

- my car insurance showing him

- His car insurance showing me

- My kids school records showing him as the emergency contact

- An affidavit from my husbands mother saying that we live in their house

- An old joint loan document

- A letter from our mortgage advisor - we are in the process of trying to buy our first home

 

What I am wondering is, there are about 4 days left until my interview should I upload more documents and photos now at this point, or should I just bring everything else with me to the interview? Are you given the opportunity at the interview to provide more, or do they send you away and write you a letter?

Most importantly, do your DLs / IDs have matching address on them?

Yes they do, thats a good idea I will take a copy of his drivers license with me also.
