Hello everyone,

I petitioned my mom and I received an RFE (i485) about that I "Failed to answer Public Charge inadmissibility questions." I answered no, but the right answer is Yes...

1) It's asking for size of your household, what number should I put 1? Which is my mom the applicant? Or my household? Me, husband and 2 kids, applicant (mom) total 5?

2) Annual household income

which should I put? My mom? But she doesn't have income since she lives with me and I am the one who petition her... Or Me and my husband income since she live with us?

Thank you....

Use your income, and you may want your husband to fill out an I864A.

Good Luck!

*** Topic moved from Bringing Family members of US citizens to the US (consular processing) to AOS work/tourist/student visas - this is an adjustment case, not consular ***

I-485 form is the applicant’s form so she has to answer the questions as they relate to her, not you.

People keep forgetting the only forms US citizen files is I-129F or I-130 and I-864. Everything else is beneficiary's responsibility. Even I-751 is filed by immigrant, only requiring one signature from US citizen spouse...

I agree, I misread the OP topic.  Since this is the I485, it is based on the person adjusting status, not the sponsor.
