Now we know what makes Buckley's so unpalatable.

I can just imagine a conversation when they discovered it:

First researcher:(takes a sip) EWWW...what is that ####### it tastes like bilge water.

Second researcher: That's not bilge water, that's Coffee, mate.

That reminds me- I just heard a radio commercial here for Buckleys. Mel had never seen it or heard of it before, it is makings its way down South!!

I like it. Once you swallow it- you get that cool feeling in your chest. It does work great.

Bilge water probably is not as bad for your health as Coffeemate.

I felt obligated to repeat in case some are too lazy to go backwards and read old posts.

I'll just reply to myself here ahem.

There is this corny infomercial on, 'flower power' - however! It's for set of CD's of music from the 70's. I just have to say the 70's were so much cooler than the 2000's.

What about the Starland Vocal Band? Sometimes those Time-Life commercials are the best thing on TV. They have everything you could ever want in a show, even horror (have you seen Kenny Rogers  ).

lol

Actually, speaking of infommercial type stuff, I bought the 'midnight special' set a few weeks ago, it is winging its way to my door as we speak.

I remember watching the Midnight Special on Friday nights with my girlfriend in our jammas eating popcorn!

And who didn't look cool wearing purple bell bottoms with red patch pockets? I mean, come on. That's just groovy.

I love the word groovy.

Spent the early 80s trying to resurrect it.

Maybe it can be a newly revised mission...

Ok my fellow Canucks- I have made a very important decision.

I am going to use the expired white vinegar. I just don't feel like running to the grocery to buy one item.

If I am not around tomorrow- think of me often and know that I love you all.

I believe you are wise - enjoy with confidence!:

How Long Does Vinegar Last?

The Vinegar Institute conducted studies to find out and confirmed that vinegar's shelf life is almost indefinite. Because of its acid nature, vinegar is self-preserving and does not need refrigeration. White distilled vinegar will remain virtually unchanged over an extended period of time. And, while some changes can be observed in other types of vinegars, such as color changes or the development of a haze or sediment, this is only an aesthetic change. The product can still be used and enjoyed with confidence.

I thought about that too- with it being so acidic it wouldn't really go bad.

Mmmm Mmmmm my sweet and sour meatballs are going to be deelish!! I called my mom for the recipe.

I'm making the meatballs with chicken instead of beef. Healthier and leaner.

No sky rockets in flight though....

Isn't mentioning the Starland Vocal Band and their song twice in one day a violation of the TOS or something, anything.

 You know, you're right. Boy, everything's a little clearer in the light of day.

Best thing I have heard about coffee mate- It has so much formaldehyde in it that that it will preserve you body longer after you die :) Whether it is factual or not, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure formaldehyde is a known carcinogen.

True. But nowadays everything can kill you :)

I use skim milk in my coffee now, but I do admit- I love the taste of coffee mate.

finally back online. had an ice storm tuesday, freezing rain, downed trees, what a mess. got a generator yesterday and got the heat back on, finally got power today. :ranting:

Oh wow. I wondered what happened to you guys. I was getting worried. Had to drink all your coffee myself. Spent a lot of time in the bathroom as a result. But I got all my Christmas cards written in record time.

You've been missing your coffee in the mornings! Here's some afternoon delight ...

Carla (F)

That's not afternoon delight. :no::devil:

This is a g-rated forum and we wouldn't want sensitive ears (Len) to hear about such things.

I remember GWG's but i'm not familiar with the song. Perhaps if you turned on the mic and sang it and posted it here it would ring a bell.
