Oliver and I had a little tiff last night..

we went to bed without resolving it..

now my parents and aunt and uncle are on their way here from Atlantic City to see our place finally..

Playing Jack Johnson really loud to wake him up cuz we gotta fix up the place before they get here..

this definitely still is better than the whole long distance thing....

worth the wait

happy and content

now to make up with Oliver without losing face ;)

Lord, you sound like Derek! Last night I cleaned all my good jewelry - wedding ring, engagement ring, great-mothers ring, etc. Anyway, normally I would let them all dry on the counter, but I knew that Calvin would start messing with them if I left them out so I put them on a paper towel and put it up on the highest shelf in the kitchen. Fast forward to this morning as I am running out the door to work and am looking for my rings. I run into the kitchen, reach up to the shelf and no paper towel! :help: At this point I know 2 things, Derek is a neat freak and he also cleaned the cat litter out before he left for work. So I am freaking out thinking the towel and the litter have been thrown down the garbage chute and I am going to have to go through 100 apartments worth of trash to find my jewelry. Long story short, he fortunately threw the towel out in the kitchen trash and had not taken that to the trash room with the litter, phew! But I still ended up dumping out all the trash on the kitchen floor and pawing through it at 7:45am. And of course this is all his fault.

I have to admit he does. Well, after a fashion. Dusting does not include lifting anything up, vacuuming does not include moving anything out of the way and it has literally taken him years to figure out how to scoop out cat poop. But he does a mean bathroom!

Mel used to everything- all the cooking and cleaning.

I miss being his girlfriend- he treated me like a Queen. Now that I am his wife- it is a different scenario all together. :)

I clean, cook, laundry, cat litter!! My wife has never touched my Dyson vacuum cleaner, well maybe once! I actually prefer to do all the cleaning, sort of picky.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

it's said that military men make better husbands - we know how to cook, clean, do laundry, and we're good at following orders :P
