Morning ya'll. We had a toll hike here in NJ and I drive a toll road every day to go to work and back. :( I guess the state government has to make up for all the money it has spent on shady deals.

No doubt. It would be interesting to see what would happen if governments (local, state, federal, provincial) stopped squandering tax dollars. I wonder what we would really need to pay in taxes if that happened.

Our taxes in NJ are really high. I see little things that bug me. Like every little town having a complete police force and public works. I live on a street where we are in one town and our neighbours next door are in a different town. So, on our street the garbage collectors collect as far as our neighbours then scoot down the rest of the street to turn around and then come back and stop at our neighbours across the street (also in the other town) and collect their gargbage. Same with the leave collectors.

Everyone does a good job, but it just seems silly to me.

So true! A block from from me is Evesham.... I'm in Mount Laurel, and if you go three blocks East you're in Marlton... just down the other road is Cherry Hill.

Oh and the country club I work at, the course is in Moorestown and the Clubhouse is in Mt. Laurel... a bridge divides the two.

 It is bizarre, I know. We get so screwed here in NJ. I had to move an hour west just to save a little money on my taxes. I'm only paying $6k in property taxes with the new house...what a steal! I don't even own any property! It's a townhouse!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

New Britney Spears album comes out tomorrow.

Britney Spears is my guilty pleasure.

I know it probably makes me lose "indie music" cred, but I seriously love her music and I have seen her in concert twice.... I even tried to drag my husband to the Onyx Hotel tour but she broke her leg! BOO!

And I will go pick up Circus tomorrow before work. :D

YES! It was really good! But she really just scratched the surface of all of her issues, and I guess those are her issues and not ours and its only her own business but still I WANNA KNOW!

In one part she just said: "I'm sad" and started crying... and then I got teary eyed too... and thats when Mike pushed me off the couch and called me a loser.

So ya, new album means NEW TOUR! I can't wait! Hey Amanda... wanna come see Britney Spears? You know you wanna! ;)

I admit, there are a few songs from "those girls" that make me rock out every once in awhile.

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Aww thanks for the coffee... much needed.

I'm ready for another week at work. I am supposed to go to my husbands work tomorrow in Philly for his Christmas party, I don't know if you'd even call it that, they go to some swanky bar and have drinks and stuff. I don't really want to go, to be honest I find his boss and coworkers very snobby and boring. I have today and some of tomorrow to figure out an excuse.

Not the ####-show christmas party that we would both enjoy, eh? If Brit comes to Philly, I will drive down and we can see her together. As long as the tickets are not a bazillion dollars. I'm happy for her though..she looks really good.

Morning yaaaalllll. Another day, another dollar. Just a regular old day here.

Bonjour All,

Yes, swanky office dinner/parties.

My sweetie's party is coming up this Friday night.

And I may even go to the one in their office on Wednesday daytime.

His place of work rents out some huge thingy like a museum or something to throw this shindig each year.

Crazy, huh?

I guess the event was scheduled before the economy started to melt big.

I am not feeling too sociable; have not for a long time.

I just put my "shields up" and go forth as best as I can.
