I just had to go back to look at my postings....I replied to a thread a few days ago, and it's gone! Completely! My reply isn't in my history of posts, the thread is completely gone! It wasn't locked, it's just gone! Has this every happened to anyone before? I wasn't the OP, but I was wondering if anyone knew how and why something can be completely obliterated from here and why that would happen? :blink:

We are going to the Cathedral Basilica tonight to see the Vienna Boys Choir. I've only ever seen them on TV, but they are part of a concert series this year at the Basilica and we thought they would be lovely to see. The Cathedral is incredible. I've provided a link if you want to see it.

:lol: I looked at the front page and thought - hey that looks like my church (we baptists bought a catholic church), but then clicked on the inside of the church - whhooooeeee that's one beauty! Our church doesn't look like that ;) Except our stained glass... we have beautiful german stained glass windows. they are gorgeous in the afternoon light.

Been a streak of good news for me lately! I got my nursing preceptorship that i requested next semester (last) for the second half the semester at the desired hospital. Work 1 on 1 with a RN for 8 weeks. Have to obtain a minimum 112 hrs over that time frame. Should be an excellent experience!! Then I got a cal from the nursing secretary offering me a deal, long story short, it worked hugely in my favor, for doing her a small favor,lol I got to pick my First half clinical (of my last semester that commences in Jan) ahead of everyone else!! As well got to pick the other few classes ahead of others! So I have my whole schedule already! Registration opens up at 10 am tomorrow for others and its sort of stressful!! Everyone wants the good clinical instructors and their is only 8 students per clinical rotation! But now its not my problem, lol sweet!! Time to clean!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

The one on shelters. I posted something in Site Discussion, and it seems that someone, Ewok? can make whole threads invisible! :o;)

Ooooo... I've seen the Vienna Boys Chior. They came to Bermuda a while ago. They are fantastic.

yeah if a thread has got out of hand and has questionable stuff in it, it sometimes gets made invisible....

I have had that happen to me as well. There was a post that actually had a pretty nasty comment in its initial post and I responded saying I wasn't going to play that game. I guess enough people might have complained about that thread because when I went to see the other responses the whole thread was gone. I checked the history of the original poster - and couldn't find it, so checked my own post history - and it was totally gone. I imagine that an organizer or Ewok deleted the thread and I suspect that might have happened to the thread you were looking for as well.

Good Morning!

The Vienna Boys Choir was spectacular last night! The acoustics couldn't have been better! We had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the answers on the thread people. I think that's what happened. I just found it odd that it wasn't just closed, but instead made invisible.

My last day of posting as we're heading out bright and early tomorrow to Gene's folks for Thanksgiving. Gene's Mom holds dinner for about 15-20, depending on who's coming that year, and we like to help out so that it makes less work for them. Going to relax after as well and won't leave until Sunday. That's many days without posting coffee. Hope no one goes into withdrawal?! ;)
