Omg I went to target to get my son's birthday present and I ended up missing my turn and ended up on 295 (a pretty fast paced highway in NJ) and it was rush hour and all I could do was just drive very fast and cry! Hahaha I CRIED!! Not like sniffling, I was like: "WAAAH" lucille bawling!

Oh dear gods am I pooped. More reading manuals and orientation stuff today at work. I snuck out of the building during my lunch break and browsed the neighbourhood a bit - they have an Asian supermarket just around the corner! :D I am really thrilled - I can do some dry goods shopping on the way home!

They swapped my homebound train to an express train for the end of the route, so I ended up waiting an extra half-hour for the next one.

My boss (and her boss) didn't look too happy when I told them my keys were missing, but they didn't look very upset either, so I guess that's my freebie mistake for the month.

About the exercising... Carla and Nev, you girls go! I completely understand how hard it is to get back into gear, I've been slowly getting active again after a year of being mostly sedentary. Walking to and from work (via train) really has helped, and I'm doing a night fencing course at the local high school - I'm enjoying it so much, I might start taking classes at the academy near work.

Mrr, I think I'm babbling at this point. *heads to bed*

Good morning everyone!

coffee-contest.jpg

Well, I'm back to my routine again, for one day at least. Gene was off Tuesday, and didn't sleep well Tuesday night, so took Wednesday off as well. While I adore my husband, my routine flies out the window! He's off again tomorrow, but Friday routine is pretty lame anyway. I didn't do any housework on Tuesday or Wednesday, so I've a bunch to do today. I wonder if he was thinking.." just what does she do here during the day when I'm not here?"

Horrible news from my daughter, who just arrived home yesterday. Her boyfriend took a different flight home the day before because he booked his on airmiles or something. On the second last leg which was from Amsterdam to Minneapolis, he probably had one too many drinks, and got "unruly" on the plane. He was met by FBI officials and arrested! :o She didn't know where he was at all, and was freaking out when she called yesterday morning. By afternoon, she got a call from the federal courts and he was going to court that day. He got no phone call at all. She was absolutely shaken, and in tears. Apparently he was being released yesterday afternoon, and is on bail of some kind and has a return court date. Very serious charge!! Hope to hear more today. I could kick his a$$, but I feel badly for my daughter who is so distraught.

Cat...I'm glad you had your symptoms checked out, and hope you're on the mend! (F)

Nini...so glad you found an Asian market close by! Your ride home from work sounds awful, but can either put up with some of that, or you could always ride in with your MIL? ;)

You love cereal...for supper Sprailines? I love cereal for snacks and supper sometimes! Gene thinks I'm a goof.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! And weekend! I might drop in tomorrow morning, but probably not for coffee in the morning.

Carla, how awful for your Daughter and her boyfriend! I hope they decide it wasn't quite that serious and that he gets home safe and sound very soon. Granted it's silly to make a fuss on an airplane, then again we don't know all the details and they may well have been overreacting.

Good morning everyone.

Holy ####### Carla, that is scary! Please tell us when you hear more. Nev, I agree with the no alcohol aboard. When I was going to Vegas last week, people were getting HAMMERED in the bank of the plane. Their pull down trays were full of mini alcohol bottles and they were so loud and chatty for 4 hours straight.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Carlswarla all I can say is all if that is good news. Your daughter isnit married to that dude and shecan break it off ASAP. I always look for the reason things happen. And usually the signs are all there before us

When life keeps throwing up barriers or blocks or hardships whatever you want to call them, then it is time to ask a simple question:
