Hi guys. Haven't heard squat from the Starbucks people :(

Second interview was Thursday and they have not called.... I guess I'm not Starbucks material. Should I give them one more day and then call or whatcha'll think?

How in the heck wouldn't you be Starbucks material????????

Sometimes people just take their time in hiring. Hopefully you'll hear something once the mgr is back from vaca. I know right before I go on vaca that I don't have much time for anything but getting things squared away for me to be gone, so that's probably all it is. :star:

I hope they call you back soon Len!

Good morning everyone. They were to deliver our sofa between 7 and 11 this morning, guess who showed up at 7! My Husband was still getting ready for work and didn't even hear the doorbell, i'm laying in bed, I can see the delivery truck lights flashing, so I get up and run out and ask him to answer the door. He is supposed to leave around 7 so I have to get dressed and go sign the delivery docket.

Morning yall. Glad it is the middle of the week, but already wishing it was Friday. I'm going to Vegas next Wednesday~!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Dancing or gambling?

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Good morning everyone! Thanks so much for stepping up to the plate trailmix and pouring us our coffee this morning. Timmie's no less! :star: You're so sweet. Gene had a training day today so we didn't have to get up at 5 a.m. ...thus, I'm late. Since I'm not providing coffee this morning, what about a profusion of flowers from my backyard?

Wow, going to Boston Em! How far is that? I've never been to Boston...matter of fact I've not been to the Northeastern US. And Vegas! Wow! I've never been there as well. I like to gamble and would love to see the sights and sounds at Vegas. Gene has been there numerous times and said we'd go there soon actually so I could experience it. We'd like to go in the winter, when it's colder here. Sounds like fun!

And trailmix...your furniture delivery? weeeeeeeee! Nothing like supervising where the furniture will go while in your nightie. ;)

Enjoy your day everyone!

Beautiful flowers Carla!

Yes, I was barely awake really, could hardly sign the electronic receipt, I just said to the guy that it was a pretty good signature for 7 am - plus I could barely see - didn't have my contacts in yet.

The sofa smells like a new sofa

Carla, I hope you feel sooooo much better today!!

Beautiful photo Carlawarla! I love those.

You need to get to the NE.

It is the last place in the U.S. that is not overly "civilized" over processed.

Any season is the right season, although now is really good with the trees being all flame colours.

Mmmm...

I love/adore coastal Maine and I love the mountains that stretch out from through New Hampshire and Vermont.

A beautiful drive and great places to hike and enjoy.

The Mainers are the most egnuine people you ever want to meet. Real salt of the Earth!

How do you think you will manage the concept of community if you do not get attached to people and can leave them on a whim?

True.

It's tricky.

I have stayed in some places for longer than others.

And it usually is like an ebb and flow...I come and go, and always return to the same spots/people.

Mmmmm...oh my heart swells when I think of my favourite.

Love people from Maine. I was there last year in February of 2007 watching my brother play hockey. He played in the Quebec junior league and Lewiston, Maine played in their league as well. Such nice people.

I'm going to Vegas from the night of 11/5 and leaving 11/10. It is a shorty but hopefully a goodie. I've never been but my husband has once when he was younger. He always wanted to go back and see it as an adult. He likes to play poker. I'm not really looking to do much but site see and hopefully catch an inexpensive show or two. I'd really like to see cirque but...I know tickets are pretty pricey.

Trailmix- I can't tell you how many times that kind of stuff happens to me! Like the cable guy comes to install something and I'm not out of bed yet. So embarrassing haha

E-Have an awesome time in Boston. I really want to go there! It's only a 6 hour train ride for me. I hear it is gorgeous and has so much history.
