Wow - 80%? Way to go!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I wish there was a Target here - but I do hear they're getting one in Kona. Close I guess.

I remember visiting Oahu a few years ago (back when I lived in Vancouver still) and being depressed that there was no Target on the island. I feel for you :(

Good morning! :)

MMMmmmmmmm... freshly ground coffee. Thanks, Carla! :)

Well, the coming days are going to be busy ones! My sweetheart leaves ND today to come pick me up and I have to get more boxes, start packing, visit friends for a last time, get travelers cheques, set medical insurance, etc. My head is spinning  but I'm happy as can be! :)

You go girl! That shopping trip sounds like so much fun Em!!

Good morning all

For those of you who don't have a grinder, this guy will make you a cup if you ask him!

Ok so this is weird. I have been paying my bills online for years, as i'm sure most of you have. (BTW we have lived here a week and a half and i have already received a cable bill, electricity bill and water/garbage bill lol)

So I go to RBC to add bills and the cable and city utilities can't be added automatically, they ask for address and phone number and i'm thinking hmm, how does this work. Turns out, from what I see in the details, that they actually mail them a cheque. weird.

Oh and it's cold here! It's only 7 degrees outside!

They mail them a cheque? Weird. I thought all of those were done via money transfers.

She can..and she can also put it on lay away! A few weeks ago K-Mart started showing commercials that they have brought back lay away. I've heard that it has been a hit, and people are buying things for Christmas, putting little bits of money down each week.

They mail a cheque? That makes no sense. Isn't the point of paying our bills online for the company to get paid quickly without the hassel of a cheque? Silly!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
