Oh I have a funny story I forgot to share, I went to my son's school for a meeting last week, and I was a little early so I was wandering the halls waiting for time to pass and a teacher approached me and asked me if I had missed my bus!

I was like: "No, I have a meeting with my son's teacher."

And he just looked at me and did a double take. I was like: "Yea, I'm 30"

Julez is our honourary Canadian.

<3

WORD.

In other news, I had my Starbucks first interview yesterday and it was easy breezy beautiful. Turns out they put you through TWO -yes, you heard right- TWO interviews  so I have to go there tomorrow again. Oh well, a gir's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. I have been reading blogs and the like about working there, and opinions are divided, big time. I have no idea how much they pay. I did have to email my Second Cup boss in shame to tell him  ..... I am sure he will have THE giggle of the day.

Oh! I thought your second interview was today and I was going to ask you how it went.

Nope - it's tomorrow, he he.

 Take it as a compliment! You are kind of little though. haha

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

 Good one.

Speaking of school and buses... lol... I remember bringing my son back from a school he was attending in another county on the bus and train to see if it was a feasible way of getting him back and forth. So we jump on the bus to get to the train with a million other kids and we're all crammed in there and hanging on for dear life, when I notice an older gentleman with all his groceries on the empty seat beside him. So finally I said "Do you mind if I sit here?" and Mr Grouch snaps.....

GetOffLawn.jpg

No. I'm kidding.

So Mr Grouch snaps "You kids don't need to sit down! You've been sitting all day in school!" So I remove his bags from the seat and set them on the floor and snap "I'm not a kid, you old goat!" No, actually I didn't say that. But it was definitely implied.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my son was in Grade 9 at the time and I was trying to find a way where I wouldn't have to drive him back and forth. Finally got old enough to get his license and bought him a car.
