All the cool people have one of these sofas B)

Len I am sure you will get the job

Does that mean you are getting Sofa B? B)

Oh, and I read your last sentence to Len and wasn't connecting the dots right. My mind was still on sofas so I was thinking.... "Len gets the job of being a cool person?".... and.... "Len gets the job of having sex on your couch?"

Len is already cool and as much as I like her I don't really think she and bren should have sex on our couch.

And I have definately decided not to get sofa B

Oh and I called the bank - they mailed the new card out, in theory - like 10 days ago and the person I called never ordered my cheques :hehe:

So you're not cool then? :P

Seriously, though, the only reason I got it was because of my kids. If my kids were older or no longer living with me I'd have gone for something completely different. I had a totally different living room group in mind, but knew the kids would trash it. Get what you love. Don't settle like I did. (had to)

I am so cool it's freaking amazing

Yes we don't have any kiddies here...so it's not an issue, but I hear you!

They are just reporting on the news - early voting started today - some people had to wait over 3 hours, currently they are waiting around 2 hours in line - what's up with that??

Probably would have helped if my Husband had gone to work for them again, however he was offered another job the day before he was supposed to start back there.

Oh I was just thinking, I don't know what you paid for yours but here I think it was priced at $1049.00 - plus lazyboy is having a promotion where you get $500 in gas coupons - you tell them your favorite gas station and every month for 25 months they send you a $20 coupon.

I thought that was a pretty good promotion, I am sure they are relying on people putting the monthly coupon in the junk drawer and forgetting to use it.

I must have missed that they got married! Wow! They're living in TO instead of PEI? Do they even have jobs there?

Yes to TO, no jobs..

she contacted me a week or so ago to ask for custom house address again cause she had to get all her money out of Japan "fast" (I could only assume from that that they needed $$ to survive). *sigh.... rough start for 2 "lovebirds".

Wow, I wish them luck. They're going to need it. What a way to start a marriage! You've mentioned a few times she's from Japan. Is she Japanese or was she a Canadian working in Japan? I ask because I assume at some point if she's not Canadian, they're going to have to deal with immigration? Yikes...

Yep. no she's gotta do immigration. I asked if they had submitted their paperwork yet (they were married the end of Sept), and she said they weren't there yet.

They seem to think that their lives post marriage would be all gumdrops & lollipops.. she said yesterday the "reality" of the situation was starting to sink in :bonk:
