hmm, interesting that they aired the 'false starts'

So, the portable dishwasher person called me back - all good, she will even deliver it! I have also lined up a person to move our stuff tonight!

BUT - my Husband lost his check card a couple of days ago, a new one is on the way - but in the meantime - I don't know what my pin number is - so he can't go to an ATM to get money.

So i'm talking to dishwasher woman and I tell her this and also say I completely understand if she would rather wait until his card arrives and we can give her cash - which she is happy to do.

How lame does that sound - hi, I saw your ad on craigslist and you don't know me from a hole in the ground but we 'lost' our cash card and don't know the pin number for the other one - would you like to take a cheque??

Hey, how many years did we have Chretien for?

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

So true

The good news is the bank is open until 6 and I called them and he can get cash without our cheques/his cash card - just needs I.D. - so he will be able to get it on the way home from work.

Oh Cat! Have you ever seen these flip flops? I used to buy them in Hawaii but haven't been there for a while

flipflop.jpg

I have - they sell them at the grocery store. But they're called rubba slippas here.

Rubba slippas are the best part of living in Hawaii. Maybe the weather too. . . .

Oh Oh, how exciting!! All I can seem to find is those awful ones they make that have a really slim foot and skinny straps.

Is there any way I could bribe pay you to send me some??

I can send you a cheque! I could send cash but you see my husband lost his cash card and I don't know my pin number :)

PM me your size and address and I'll see what I can find in town. No worries about a cheque. They're not all that expensive. And I know the truth about the cheque. :P

Mostly (trying!) to get things sorted out, ie. find a job, hurry up with moving out of the in-laws' house, and all that fun jazz. Laura sent me a PM a couple of weeks ago and said that I should check in :P I've missed being around!

ps. fun slippers! those look cushy :D
