Thanks Krikit and Spirit. I'm not entirely sure why this in particular has hit me so hard. I hadn't seen her in over 10 years and we weren't really even close. I suppose it's the loss of life at such a young age that really gets me. It makes me think about my own mortality, makes me realize I should live my life to the fullest, because you never do know when it's your time. I don't think that realization is a bad thing. It'll sure make you think though!

It's always a nice surprise when things go right, isn't it?

Krikit - you're always putting goodness back into the world - its only appropriate that Karma boomerangs you back something nice and unexpected!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend ATeam. (F) It is not something you expect to hear in this day and age. There must have been some very different circumstances in that case I'm thinking?

Enjoy your day everyone. I'm off to get some tests done today, going to be a longish day. First off the :

hey Krikit, I have been meaning to ask if the flowers came up...

Well, now, there's a story. I had put off planting them because I was under the impression that my back yard would have been landscaped by now. Apparently the economy is much better than the media would have you believe because I have contacted two landscapers to provide a quote and neither one have followed through. I'd probably have more success inviting the neighbours over and providing beer. <_<

Good morning everyone. :energy:

I have been so sick since I've returned from my trip, either its allergies or a cold, and no I can't tell. I think its allergies because I took a tylenol cold and was still sneezing then I took a benedryl and I was fine, but I guess the combination of both drugs zonked me out because after supper I went straight to bed and didn't wake up until 7:00 this morning.

My nose is all red and dry from using the cheap tissues at work.

Donne moi une poptart!

Am i the only one who has something against cheap tissues and cheap toilet paper? For awhile here at work they had this toilet paper that literally SCRATCHED when you wiped. Thank goodness someone must have said something about it because its gone now.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

NO!!!!!!

In fact I restrained myself (with great difficulty, I might add) from responding to Sprailenes' post about cheap tissues making her nose red and dry. Something to the effect of imagining that's probably what my ####### looks like when forced to use cheap toilet tissue.

Well i'm sorry you guys are all scratched up

But anyhoooo good morning!

Was just reading the paper, all about the economy and Sarah Palin, of course.

The thing I found funny was on the front page, where they are giving advice as to what you should do with your money - by age groups. For the 20 somethings they recommend they start saving and - yes - invest their money in stocks

What money? My 20-something ####### just started out in the job field and my salary is just enough to live on, let alone have enough money to invest.

Spirit- Me and a girl in the office are also ADDICTED to NPR at the moment.
