Sounds like you're safe and sound home in Florida now. We were thinking about you the whole time you were away. (F)(L)

oh oh oh oh I do!!!!!!

But wait..I do nots cookkkkss! :(

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

That's okay! Sometimes my friends invite me over then say "Good. I was wondering when you'd get here. How do you cook this?" And then I cook for them.

<makes note of this in book>

Good morning all, welcome back krikit. I'm sorry you had such a hard time!

Well Bush is on television right now - i'm sorry but most of the time he just makes me laugh - ok i'm not sorry. :hehe:

He looks a little angry.

If I could have you over for dinner, I'd do so in a heartbeat...and I'm a fabulous cook. ;)

I did want to mention that Ron was by yesterday and posted on his thread as a bit of an update. I responded, and I noticed that it kept getting further and further down the list of postings here. I thought I should mention it since people probably saw that I was last to post, and didn't know that there was something further from Ron.

I just had that pop up in my WESH.com desktop alert. (It does the breaking news and severe weather alerts.) Even though it's terribly important, I just can't bring myself to listen or look at that man, he irritates me so much.

Oooooh, I love fabulous cooks! I love bad and mediocre cooks as well. The bad ones give you something to laugh about, and the mediocre ones improve with wine.

Thanks for the link, Carla. There's certainly a lot to catch up on here.

No one else in my family cooks, except my Sister in Nebraska - who is a very good cook. But she is in Nebraska

Once I was making a family dinner and I said you know, none of you ever say that I am a 'damn good cook'. So, they all did and it stuck a bit - so that was good for my cooking rep - but upon reflection I realized everyone loves my cooking because I am the only one doing it.

You know what I don't understand? How in this day in age, women die in childbirth. I just learned that a girl that I knew and danced with for many years died giving birth this past February. She was only 30 years old. The baby survived, which is good. The whole thing makes me frustrated though, women aren't supposed to die in childbirth, especially in a hospital! ~sighs~ I know that it doesn't always work, and that things can be out of a doctor's control, but I'm saddened and a little jaded with the medical profession lately.

That is hard to understand.

So sorry to read this news ATeam!

my sis-in-law doesn't know how to cook and it sucked when I was staying there for a week because every time it was time to eat she would come in and ask what I wanted and I didn't know what to say because I know she can't cook and I didn't want to have to think about that  .. if I had been at my mom's she would have just made something and it would have been good...
