Well, my hubby has decided to go back to his old job at the warehouse.

Work at his current job is slowing down right now and it is going to get even slower.. it is just a small company so i guess they don't have enough work for the few guys they have and of course my hubby is at the bottom of the totem pole so he just gets the scraps...

he already applied for his old job and he is pretty sure he is going to get it back...

Pros - more hours so bigger pay checks, health care starts right a ways, 5 days paid vacation within the first year, plus 3 personal days a year...

Cons - @ 12 hour days, have to share the car, hubby has school 3 nights a week so on those nights he won't get a lot of sleep...

I am so not looking forward to him gong back to the old job...

He hated that job and was constantly complaining about it... he says it will be different now because he knows what's at stake....

He does plan on continuing in the AC field and says now he knows what to work on....

He just wants to go back to the old job so we can catch up on bills and stuff... we still have a lot of medical bills we are trying to pay off...

I hear you Mar.

My hubby works at a restaurant and keeps getting promoted because he works incredibly hard. With each promotion the pro is the money but the con is the time! He has to work a min. of 10 hours a day. He usually ends up working 12-14. He just finished 5 days worth of nights in which I only saw him for a few hours on saturday and sunday. There are some weeks we rarely see each other, and most people who work in a restaurant ALWAYS have to work weekends. I work a regular day shift so it gets SUPER crummy.

He just told me last night they want him to start working towards being Assistant General Manager. He's a Manager right now so now I'm sure his work hours will increase.

yeah the small pay checks suck with this new job but I love the fact that he doesn't have to leave for work till after 7am and he is usually home before 4.. he isn't so grouchy and tired either...

now it will back to him having to leave for work around 4 am or 5 am which means getting up around 3 or 4.. :wacko: and not getting home till 4pm or 5pm.... and then he has school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 10 pm

that's the thing with my hubby and his old job at the warehouse.. he was one of their best workers and sometimes they kept him there longer then the other guys to help out the other shifts or departments..

anyone else find it odd that the US holds up capitalism and free market like some sort of banner leading the "freedom" charge in america, and then when the economy's in the pot... the first thing the gov. does is bail it out? :blink: Me no understanda!

Happy Friday morning! Here's coffee for you. I'm greatly in need of coffee, but I have some blood work to be done this morning, so I'm just going to pour and go! I hate these fasting blood tests! Right after my test, I'm going to go for a coffee, then to aquacise this morning. How is that for ambitious? :blink: Enjoy your weekend everyone!

I also have to go get blood work done today. :( It's time to find a cause for my headaches and I hope I get it all straightened out. I want to literally be checked for everything.

Other than that, we are getting those winds and rain E. Pretty bad drive to work this morning. My dog did NOT want to go outside to pee because she hates teh rain so I had to pick her up and go out in it myself at 5am. :lol: bah!

Yes, I guess this free market isn't going to correct itself and it's only 'free' if it is doing well (regardless of tactics used).

Man everyone is getting blood work today! Good Luck!!!

Trailmix: We are going to North Carolina for a vacation with 3 other couples!!!

We rented a house. Click here to see it!!! :)

We drive down Saturday and drive home next Saturday!! I can't wait. Nick really needs a vacation.

I'm sad about leaving our little kitty Mojo at home by himself but Nick's mom will be checking in on him daily.
