kitten update!

Sunday afternoon, momma cat took the three kittens and left for where they came from - too much traffic and too many other cats around our back porch. Monday morning, Momma cat showed up by herself for food, but Monday afternoon the little black and white kitten came back with her. Well, Momma left - and left the kitten behind who was crying like crazy! So I went and got Momma before she had got more than 2 yards away and brought her back. She and son cuddled together on the black porch, then both of them left together. I got to pick up this kitten as well - he had no problems with me holding him or petting him - he started to purr so that is a good sign. This morning Momma and 2 kittens were back - a black one plus the black and white one. They ate, stayed a while and then both trotted back to where 'home' is. The black kitten went into hiding while I put food out but the black and white one stayed - although he looked like he might run. So - probably not going to have much success with the carrier, but they may be somewhat socialized to people and not be totally feral if I can keep interacting with the kittens. I have let a few people know that there are kittens so I may be able to re-home them if someone would like to give one a home. The only shelter in the area accepting animals right now is a kill shelter, so I am not going that route.

Thanks for the kitty update Kathryn! I guess if I want to lose weight I'd better move back to Canada eh? Hope your evening with your daughter was lovely Krikit. Today is my daughter's birthday. She's 25. I miss her so much.

Morning yall. It's a nice, cool morning today. I'm about to go get some breakfast.

I stopped for gas this morning at a lukoil and a fight broke out between a bunch of people and the guy was just giving me back my cc when I heard someone scream "HE HAS A KNIFE" and I didn't even let the gas attendant close my gas tank, I drove out of there sooo fast.

I had to stop on the side of the road later to close my gas tank.

I'm such a chicken.

I couldn't believe some people were sitting there in their cars watching, I mean someone has a knife I am gonna GTFO of there.

Hey I went to Connecticut this past weekend and drove on the most beautiful highway I have ever seen, it was like the trees hugged the road, I don't know what its called though.

Its a very beautiful state from what I could see.

It was probably Route 15 ... it's a very old highway.. and it has the most beautiful arches going over the highway.. At one point (here in New Haven) you go through a mountain tee hee..

It's pretty upstate and to the west.. not so much in the south.

My husband has lots of clients in Greenwich and was telling me about how they have ethics police there.

I want to go j walk in Greenwich, its on my to-do list.

CT is really nice. There are a couple not so nice areas but from what I've seen its very pretty.

Good morning one and all!

Well I have spent the better part of the day so far looking at places to rent. There are soooo many.

My Husband went to see an apartment on his way home last night - very nice person, apartment is immaculate (they are trying to sell it and are not having any luck and they have moved to SC for school).

Anyway, I am tired of looking for places, I feel like just calling her and saying we'll take it. (the only reason I haven't is because I really wanted to rent a house not an apartment)

I just talked to a really nice older lady about her house for rent. Sounds great, in the right area, lake view - all good. But! she wants a 12 month lease.

She said it is too much hassle to rent for like 6 months - she has to repaint and etc etc

Well - I don't know who has been living in the house where it needs paint after 6 months - plus it's been in the paper for like a month - so she's lost a months rent already...oh well.
