Weird. I am reading the last few pages about tooth problems and there are 2 ads by Google on top of this page about finding Dentists.

that is how the ads work.. they take key words and place ads based on that

I never knew that.

So if i bring up erectile dysfunction will there be an add for viagra? :)

pun intended? :innocent:

You know what I love about my job? The fact that its always a 4 day week. :D

Dammnn youuu!!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

No you don't. Come on! With the amount of hours we all work I'm sure 4 days would be enough. It's funny. I think a 4 day work week would do a lot of good for people and their families. Parents could spend more time with their kids and we could wind down a little bit more before the upcoming week. I hardly see my husband because of our work schedules. What kinda life is that you know?

Good morning all and thanks for the coffee Carla! Speaking of doughnuts, my Husband actually bought us some of those little dunkin dougnuts yesterday, my first U.S. doughnuts! I actually thought they were quite like timbits :)

Oh and another thing we had yesterday was cottage cheese - which tastes 'normal' - so that was nice too!

I have had so much dental work done I can't even talk about dental work.

I work 5, 9-10 hour days. When I first started my job I was even putting in some 12 hour days. The east coast never stops!

I work 8.5 hours a day.

I work at a country club and they're usually closed on Monday's which is why I work four days a week.

But I heard a few companies are going over to a four day week just to help their employees with the costs of gas, but unfortunately it does mean longer days for them.

I'm looking for a granola today.. someone to pat me on the head and tell me it's going to be okay.

After a year and a half I've finally got the courage to get back to eating right (no sugar, dairy or wheat), and taking all those little vitamins & supplements that cost so stinking much but really do help me out.

Migraines did it. What you put in is what you get out, and I realized today that I need to smarten the heck up.

So forgive me dear friends if I pass on the caffeine for a bit, am a bit grouchy from the sugar withdrawal for a bit, and BEG you for just a tiny sliver of doughnut to get me through the hard bits. Be strong and resist me friends.. for I will be much better off without. It might get ugly, but I really want to get back to my simple way of eating. Life is better there. :star:

I love granola...mmmm...the good kind sprinkled on top of organic vanilla yoghurt (no sugar kind in either; honey is the best sweetener).

When you start to read labels you may throw up; all the ####### that is in packaged food and drink.

It is scary.

Get acquainted people, I beg you. :D

And do buy your vits and bits at health food type stores.

The commercial brands are not good for you...and/or do nothing.

I commend you Emancipation!

Preventative better than medication and more suffering.

Yiippee!

As far as teeth go, ask me about my process.

I had cracked on a few weeks ago, they have done a root canal, a crown lengthening and am waiting to heal from that to get measured and prepped for a crown. That will be the 24th and then 2 weeks later the crown will be ready and installed. I have lost weight I did not need to lose. So in retaliation I have found really good ice cream! Hee, hee. The pain has mostly subsided and now the discomfort is there 24 hrs/day. Bleh.

BTW the root canal, although a long one sitting (2 hours or so) was not painful and I did not even take anti-biotics or pain killers for that. After the surgery (gum/jaw) though I took 'em. Yup. Not the codeine ones they had me buy, just the ibuprophen.

I am afraid of meds!

If you have to take antibiotics, do yourself a huge favour and take care of your body (system) by taking probiotics too. It replaces the good bacteria your body needs for digestion and shtuff. Having any gastro-type problems... I believe it is good to take them too. Talk to the nutritionist at the health food store and they will know.

I hope you feel better.

Thanks my friend.. been reading labels for a long time.. went to see a Naturopath in 2005, she changed the way I shop/eat/live mostly except I'm out of the rhythm lately, so I need to smarten up. :) I really wish I'd stocked up on my vits & bits in Canada before i left... they don't carry the same kinds at my shop (Edge of the Woods - now isn't that the BEST name for a "green" store?).. boo... i walk around totally lost now, not knowing WHAT to buy!

That is a great name!

Do locate a friendly employee there and chat them up.

They are usually all too gracious in sharing information about nutrition and products.

A person working in such a place usually has a higher level of awareness about food than your average joe. Ha!
