Although TheTreble I can see why you would like to live here.

It is quite a fast-paced and full-on zing city!

Everything is big; everything is busy.

It has almost every-thing.

:star:

Ahhh spirit, I do live 15 minutes away Manhattan and in the most densely populated state in the US ;) I love city life as long as I live in the city and do not have to drive :)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Hmm, we used a software package and did it ourselves. It was very straight-forward and organized. We then had two friends join us at the notary's office who witnessed and stamped all of the signatures. When Joe comes home I will ask him the name of the software that we used and let you know.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

KarenCee- That commercial is one of my biggest pet peeves right now! I can't believe it. That is such propaganda. The other thing is that they say it's fine in moderation, but the thing is that because it's in everything there's no way to get it in moderation! Plus it doesn't send the signals to your body that you're full like regular sugar does, but of course they deny that. It just makes me think, there's a reason that HFCS is banned in Canada. It's not good for you but because it's cheaper and sweeter, they try to promote it here! ARGHHHH!

Now I know that there will be people who disagree with me, and feel free. This is just my personal opinion.

What a load of bull. It IS in everything we eat and drink these days. There is no such thing as moderation. That made me pissed off!

btw, hfcs is banned in Canada??? So is that maybe one of the reasons I have put on considerable weight here!!??

I've heard it is banned in Canada...but isn't there something similar to it there? For the life of me, I remember hearing that somehwere.

I'm not sure if there's something similar to HFCS in Canada but they aren't allowed to put HFCS in anything in Canada. It's funny, when I look for products without it here I find that they're often made in Canada! :P

thetreble- It's been shown that HFCS is a major contributor to weight gain because it doesn't tell your body when it's full and so you continue to eat more. It's also been shown that it's driving type 2 diabetes through the roof!

Emancipation- I think that they think people are really not that smart, and some people will believe whatever the FDA tells them. Some people believe everything they see on tv and read in the news. ~sighs~ I think that most people are not problem solvers anymore and don't look beyond what they're told. I know, I've been one of those people, up until a little while ago. Thank goodness I have a best friend who hasn't ever been that trusting and always willing to investigate.

It seems to be an ongoing theme these days.. just look in OT.. on BOTH sides they are spewing things that if you just look a little deeper into what's being said it is NOT as it appears.. (both sides are guilty on this one mind you).. bah..

I saw that HFCS commercial a few days ago.

I have been paying more attention to labels and trying to avoid HFCS.

I find that doing all my grocery shopping in Canada really helps :) tee hee

I wish I could see that documentary.

I don't enjoy sweets as much I did as kid- but every now then I need my candy or chocolate fix. I find I am really moody when I eat too much sugar.
