i think it warrants a thread all on it's own. sounds like a heck of a day.

Grrrrrrr. Still fuming. But maybe that's because I keep losing the connection on this crappy hotel internet connection. Okay.... logging out now. Not by choice, btw.

Oh my!! That's terrible krikit - those highways can be mean (but you already know that!) - glad you are safe.

I so hope today you have a wonderful drive and that you were able to get some sleep last night.

Here is some coffee for you!

Pretty coffees Tralimix!

Long road trips are almsot always without incident.

I am no stranger to that...thought I was going to die on my last drive to Montreal.

Oh, but I am still here. Hee, hee.

I'm sorry to read about your ordeal Krikit.

The words good and bad are just that, and what we do with those emotions tells a lot about us.

These are thingies I remind myself constantly.

:star:

Oh and bonjourno!

Good luck on the rest of your drive - Krikit - you've used up all the bad things so you only have the good things left.

We are headed to North Carolina mountains ourselves this afternoon to meet up with a group of friends at a retreat for the weekend, so I'll see everyone again probably on Monday - have a good weekend!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Howdy Ho!! I am doing fine. We are still in Destin and leaving tomorrow morning. Our power back home is on again.

It is very beautiful here and the beaches are incredible- it was hard to truly relax and enjoy it all though. Cooper is in a kennel in Niceville- I miss him so much. I have been wanting to go get him and sneak him into the Condo- but Mel wouldn't allow it :(

Wow Krikit, sounds like a horrendous drive for you! I'm SO glad though you're safe, if not sound. Trailmix, thank you for the lovely coffee this morning! (F) It's looks good enough to rip it right out of my screen! MissStacy, lovely to hear from you as well...and glad you're okay and that Destin was a good place to be during the hurricane. I've been there a few times, and while I like a much more quieter and laid back Florida destination, the beaches rock there.

Kathyrn, drive carefully and enjoy your weekend in NC. Actually...everyone have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
